This is the source thread for all information related To Mortal Kombat: Unchained. I will keep this updated. If anyone finds something I missed, or should be in here, please let me know.

For millenia I existed for one purpose…to monitor the strength of the world’s kombatants. My creator foresaw a time when warriors would become too powerful and threaten all of existance. I was to sound the call to awaken her sons when the apex was drawing near. Their actions would determine the fate of these superior kombatants and ultimately prevent Armageddon. It seems, however, that one brother has been prematurely revived.

I made my move to seize control of the Lin Kuei from Sub-Zero. He had let his guard down and I took the Dragon Medallion from him. I could feel its power coursing through me! That is the last thing I remember. I awoke in this tomb, surrounded by frozen corpses. I must still be in Outworld. The medallion is gone. No doubt Sub-Zero took it from me and left me here to die. He will pay dearly.

For thousands of years I have fought skilled warriors, each new one seemingly more advanced than the last. But this… Dragon King… was a more powerful foe than I had ever imagined possible. He resurrected me from death and enslaved my soul. I had no choke but to kill in his name.

wow nice screenshots. I just hope this thing has short loading times with all the content it will contain. i cant wait for the RELEASE! i probably WILL buy it for InfernoScorpion.
 
is chess/puzzle kombat/konquest confirmed?
I would have thought they'd have been scrapped to save space on the UMD
 
If you look at the screen shots you can tell they are not as good of a quality as MK decetpion. This is either because it's an early edition (Beta) or it's to save space on the UMD. Graphics are
probably going to be the main space saver.
 
Not only will lowered graphic quality save UMD space, but the PSP also probably can't run the graphics at their best. So it works out all around. It looks pretty damn good for a portable system tho.
 
i think the graphics look very awesome for a PSP game, and i think they will use the chess feature and puzzle feature given the fact that there's plenty of room on the memory and gig space
 
wait what're they gonna do about the alternating-game QuanChi's Fortress thing(in MKDA it was basic but in MKD it had lasers)?
 
If youre talking about the death trap, It is most likely going to remain there. That was the only difference between the two I believe. I doubt they will have any more than the deception levels.

Uh...Thanks I guess but we've known that.

On a different note, I don't think they are going to be any more specific about the multiplayer modes because when they say "WiFi" they are not neccesarily making it fully compatible (so you could play people using a wireless LAN). They usualy won't make a whole new news release telling us exactly how much multiplayer there is, We'll have to wait for it to come out.

lookes mad... Is it similar to mortal kombat Shaolin Monks???
coz a lot of psp games have just been converterted from ps2 (with a couple added features for the psp)
Anyways looks mad when its avalible, its on my shopping list!!!
 
No, this is basicly Mortal Kombat: Deception with a lot more features. Just like MK Trilogy was basicly Ultimate MK3... but with a lot more features...
 
This is going to need some MASSIVE editing because of all the ridiculous changes. The main issue is the images, since trmk is no longer in the adress, we can not view them, we only get the 'link us' image.

EDIT: as of now, I can only edit the posts that were made after the changes to the forum.

Double Edit: As of now, the main post has been updated to ULTIMATE!!!! There is now a 4 limit image per post rule. I could have left them in, but I would never be able to edit it again... Plus now you can see the screenshots only when you want instead of having them load wheter or not you like it.

TRIPLE EDIT: Well now there is no limit on images, ....sigh.... well I don't want to put the full images in, does anyone know how to make little thumbnails?

I'll probably get it. I don't know. To do everything all over again kind of sucks. Maybe if I had it for the PS2 instead of X-Box. That connection to the PSP and PSP would be good. I'l just get MKA only maybe. I'll see when it comes out. Not bad though to have an MK for the PSP.
 
A LOT of gameplay footage just added under the videos section. They are YOU-tubes, of people actualy playing so it's not the BEST quality...
 
Awesome, Rayden is in it! <3 I can't believe they excluded him from some of the other MK games. That should be a crime.
