    Mutant Football League

I've been following a game called Mutant Football League for a while now, it's the spiritual successor to the original Mutant League Football on the Genesis and is being developed by it's original creators. Right now there hosting a Kickstarter (which I backed) to finish the game.

What do you guys think of it?, did any of get to play the original? (I never had the chance to).

It'd be cool to hear someones experience with the old game.

Here's a link to there website too:

    Re: Mutant Football League

I never playedMutant League Football, although I watched cartoon adaptation, if mostly because I couldn't find anything else to watch.

Outside of combat sports, I usually don't have an interest sports game. However, I made a few exceptions, most of those of being the over-the-top variety rather than simulators. I might check this out. The question is...how are the going to balance the violence (which seems to be the selling point) while reasonably following the sport?

From what the devs have said, part of the games mechanics revolve around the violence and death as a team will forfeit if too many of their players die, which helps a losing team turn the tide of game while also making each team air on the side of caution of sparing their players.

At the same time they also said that this isn't game that needs to be taken to seriously in terms of the sport, as they view it as the type of game you can sit down with your buddies and laugh at each other as their teams get comedically blown up.
