SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

It makes sense for JC to have a new outfit, it doesn't mean he's in the game or not though since both his MK9 outfits are not fit for a journey to Outworld, I can't imagine a guy going to rescue his daughter to another dimension either shirtless or with a sky blue tuxedo.
 
Hmm, something else, i've just re-read the 2th comic and i noticed something. Raiden visits Scorpion and says "beware the one who walks in silence.." It popped in my head that we haven't 'heard' Erron Black talk. He was missing in the chapters with Kotal, I suppose he is the one that kidnaps Sonya.. Maybe he is setting everything up? Maybe he is the being missing from the netherrealm?

Does Kano specifically say that he's Kuai Liang in the comic, or is that just people assuming because he's maskless?
I saw nothing on that link that you posted, alluding to it being Kuai-Liang.
If that comic is a flashback pre-MK1, then it could be Bi-Han.
Kano had his cybernetic eye in MK9, so did they just retcon when Kano got his cybernetic eye?

Sounded like how he got this new eye tech. Like Sub-Zero was hurt by him, and then did something to Kano's eye.

Oh the amount of characters I can replace Johnny with to describe how their costumes aren't fit for journeys.

Whether we see Cage "mature" in this story or not, he should still have SOMETHING that represents his Hollywood nature other than his sunglasses.

Of course this is just my honest opinion, still though. It wouldn't make sense to just give him a completely different look to him because he needs to be all serious. It's Cage, I really can't see him not cracking jokes or not having some self-loving personality here and there.

It's not pre-MK1. If it were, why would Sub-Zero say he's been dead before? Why would they not make it clear it was a flashback in the first chapter?

Also, being dead before could also be Bi-Han.
He was dead before he became Noob Saibot.

It sounds to me like it's just explaining how Kano got his new bionic eye, not how he lost his old organic eye. Also he didn't die until after MK1, so I'm not sure if you're still trying to argue this is pre-MK1 or not.
 
I think that user is just assuming it's Kuai Ling because he's maskless. Though we already had our share of "back from the dead" characters, I'm hoping that Sub-Zero's story will be more, well, interesting.

Well, Lord above got the comic. Sweet, we shall find out.

For me it´s pretty obvious that Erron Black is not a new character, but, it´s in fact Mavado under some kind of disguise.

Sonya threatens to kill Kotal if he doesn't tell her where her daughter is. Reptile tells Sonya that first she insulted Kotal and is now throwing false accusations at him, then he shoots his tongue at her face -- but it is grabbed by Johnny Cage, wearing very military-like clothes. With the situation escalating, Johnny takes a diplomatic approach and offers Kotal medical supplies, but D'Vorah tells him to back up and puts some maggots in Kotal's wound. Johnny is disgusted, but makes a quip about it being all-natural at least. Kotal gets up, thanks D'Vorah and says he will only speak with Raiden's Champion - Johnny. Johnny explains the situation, that Black Dragon kidnapped Cassie. Kotal explains that he only uses the BD for tech for his armies, and would never conspire to kidnap children. Johnny shows him the Erron Black picture. Kotal claims he has never spoken directly with Kano and Erron was the intermediary. D'Vorah suggests Erron acted out because of the frustration from Sonya's rejection in Earthrealm. [cont...]
