Pretty much, this.
None of the dead characters, thus far (since we don't know who this Sub-Zero is), have been brought back from the dead from MK 2011.
Though, I am hoping that Bi-Han is back to end his rivalry with Scorpion and not continue it.

Im with ya on that one Im hoping they join forces and take out Quan Chi. But what if...it spins like this...

Champion of the Elder Gods Sub-Zero Vs NetherRealm's Champion Specter Scorpion
Could be an epic twist! Anything is possable and since the next step in the Timeline is MK4ish..thats the era that reveals Quan Chi's plans to Both of them.

The power of Fire and Ice could be the end of Quan Chi..while Raiden Settles his score with Shinnok..

Agreed.
Anything is possible.
I just want to see something fresh for MKX, even if it means Bi-Han and Scorpion teaming up together to take out Quan Chi.
I've had enough of the 22-year rivalry between those 2, and I'd love to see character development that goes beyond that and shows a new side to those characters.

How am i in denial? i've thought about the theroy and i don't understand it, if it can happen then Quan-Chi and Peter Griffen can make a crossover and have two children named Zack and Cody growing up to be in that stupid TV show Zack and Cody.

I also never said that Sub-Zero would be the only one let go of the group, i think Sindel Kitana Nightwolf Smoke Stryker and Kabal will all come back. (i don't think the roster we see is final i think there's 1 more row) The rest cameos.

Never said you did..Just saying its more likley to be a Decendant...even though Scoprion does ask MKX Sub-Zero a strange question about how it feels to be a deadman...And since RoboSub is under quan chi's powers reborn it is more likely it is Bi Han and not a decendant

His soul was taken that's it, i belive Quan-Chi will die sometime in the story (letting all the earthrealm warriors souls free) meaning Cyber Sub-Zero's soul is free and back to his body how will he become human? i don't know, in the MKGOLD Cyrax ending

There's no reason to bring back any of those dead characters under Quan Chi's control, especially Nightwolf, Sindel and Styker.
Reptile, Ermac, Fujin, Reiko and Tanya have much more of a chance of making it in over characters like Sindel, Stryker and Nightwolf.
They can all stay dead for a game or 2.
I'd rather have a new Sub-Zero than that lame story.

I could see all of the dead characters under Quan Chi's control being cameos, but not playable.
MKX has more new characters than any previous MK game (11+), per Ed Boon, and MKX already has 5 klassic characters confirmed to return.
Ed Boon specifically said that MKX would have "30-something characters" (close to MK9, being approximately 32) and 7 more would put MKX at around 39 to 40 characters.

The more likely scenario is 24 on the main roster + 6 to 8 DLC, giving us 30 - 32 characters (close to MK9, and being 30-something like Ed Boon said).
