Might No. 9 (Mega Man reboot)

Main character's name is Beck, I think.

Look closely at some of the concept art they show. They straight rip Roll & Rush from the Mega Man series, and I love it

Awesome how some guy paid 10k for a dinner with the man himself. Plus all the extras of course.

It's amazing how many game developers, amateur and professional, are turning to crowdfunding.

I am concerned that all they have to show so far are concept art and mockups. No prototype or anything to show how the game will play. I would be more confident to donate if they had some prototype to show a game is actually being made.

Looks pretty good so far. I wonder what platform(s) they will release on.

Once the minimal funding ($900K) is met, it will be released on the PC. If the stretch goal reaches $1.35 million, it also be released on the Mac/Linux. At the max stretch goal of $2.5 million, extra funds will go towards to the PS3, X360, and Wii U consoles.

Awesome!!! So glad they reached their goal!!! Screw Capcom and their crappy games!! they took this man's life work and really though they would hinder a legend. pfffffttt Capcom needed him, not the other way around. true talent knows no limitation.

The one game they should have made (darkstalkers) was overlooked for Ducktales! Ducktales, really?? see ya Capcom I won't buy another one of your products ever again.

All hail INAFUNE!!

The original DuckTales (which involved Inafune and other Megaman staff) was one of the of the most successful games, critically and commercially, on the NES. Darkstalkers was excellent series with well-executed sprite animation and the early titles introduced mechanics that is taken for granted in today's fighting games. Unfortunately, it's also under-appreciated by video game consumers at large.

That being said, with the way Inafune harps his frustrations with Capcom and the Japanese video game industry in general, it was matter of time before he would leave the company. While I have doubts if this Mighty No. 9 will be ground-breaking, at very the least he has the chance to make something that fans wanted for a long time.

The fact this Dina person is not big on Megaman is blown out of proportion. Not everybody who is involved in the business are even interested in video games outside their job. The late Hiroshi Yamauchi, who made Nintendo a major force in the video game industry, didn't even play video games and it shows in some of the crazy things he said at times.

However, her ability as community manager is pretty suspect.

It's not about her NOT being a fan.

it's about her claiming she was one, then saying on another social site, saying the opposite, that she's never really cared.

It's the lying aspect. How can you trust someone giving you intel if they just lie.
