Put all X Men characters in. Screw the rest. Wolverine=most badass Marvel character ever created.

They can do a lot with the story. They can revolve it around a mutant type of storyline. Characters mostly X Men characters with some other intersting ones like Iron Man, Spiderman, Deadpool, Blade, and Punisher.

Have the gameplay have deep mechanics. I was actually thinking about a Marvel fighting game being made. That would be awesome.

Putting ALL Mutants in would take up the entire roster. There's just WAY too many mutants to do so. Add in the main ones: Wolverine, Deadpool, Cyclops, Storm, Beast and Jean (or Emma, or make Jean a hidden character).

Can't have mutants, people would cry that theres too many X Men characters in it and put requests for the most obscure Marvel characters that they can think of to try and make themselves appear knowledgeable and cool.

Venom, Blackheart, Silver Samurai, Moon Knight, there are a ton of possibilities.

I'd particularly like to see Thanos as the main villain.
