Mass Effect Thread ~ We'll bang okay?

Finished all of the DLCs. Citadel really is amazing; it really is the ultimate sendoff. Its definitely one of the best DLCs I've ever played. I love the fan service, and the best thing is that every character gets their own shine. The writing is hilarious too.

Omega and Leviathan were okay too. Leviathan definitely does feel important toward the story, and Leviathan itself looks pretty cool. Playing Citadel made me want to replay all of ME3 again, so now I'm going for an Insanity playthrough, and since I wanted to try a new class, I decided to pick Infiltrator. Sodium will be spewed for the next few days haha

Infiltrator with Flare is what I'd recommend for Insanity, it's arguably the best damage dealing build in the game just Cloak and throw out Flare. Tactical cloak will negate Flare's ridiculous cooldown and add a nice damage boost to boot.

If you want a class with alot of survivability use a Sentinel with Defense Matrix. You'll end up with a ton of damage reduction and can recover you shields on command by using Defense Matrix.

I thought about picking Flare, but I decided to pick Energy Drain instead. Only reason I didn't pick Sentinel was because I already played as one in my previously. I always forget to use Cloak lol; I think its because I'm so used to using Tech Armor and just leaving it on lol.

So far it's pretty fun playing Insanity, but really annoying at times. Mainly grenades being tossed everywhere and miracously landing near me. I think the first 2 hours I kept dying by grenades more then anything. I'm using the Mantis sniper rifle (lvl 5) and w/ the concentration mod it's cheese.

Also finding out stuff I didn't find from my first playthrough, like Liara's mother and an unfortunate instance with Kelly (though I reloaded that save lol). Renegade playthrough is too fun.

I bought my girl ME3 best thing I could of done aside from buying her a new copy of Skyrim.

^ Heard about this a while ago, kinda disappointing that all of the awesome characters we've come to know won't be in it but I'm sure there will be more beastly squadmates. Maybe some of Shepard's squad could make cameos or something.

Despite, having a bad first impression with a demo, I went ahead and bought the ME Trilogy.

I am playing ME1 right now, and honestly, it's not not bad. I'm currently playing as the Soldier class, though I thinking of playing as the Biotic specialist during my next playthrough. Which of the Biotic skills do you think are the most useful?

I haven't played ME1 in a while, biotics are most powerful in ME3. I'd recommend using a Vanguard on your next playthrough, in ME1 they play just like Soldiers with some biotics. As for powers, you can never go wrong with Warp.

After weeks of having the Citadel dlc and not playing it, I finally gave it a go.

100/10

I don't think I've ever laughed this hard at a game in my life. God damned one liners everywhere from everyone. And after I beat the main mission arc (Thank god they went for a lighthearted tone, because if they tried to make this cliche shit serious I'd be disappoint) I fell in love with the bonus shit.

I spent about a good hour in the combat simulator. It's like multiplayer mode without the asshole scrubs dying every 6 seconds. And then the side missions? Holy shit! I've only met up with Zaeed and Traynor so far, but Jesus Christ. Traynor kills a bich in an arcade and everyone golf claps

I'm kinda dreading doing the party objective. I don't want it to end

^ Grunt has one of the greatest meet up moments, since you said you're a fan of Grunt I'm sure you'll appreciate it you need to do the party first to see it I think. The party has a lot of funny moments too, you can throw two different types of parties and both have their share of great conversations.

There's some shit after the party too? Thank you FrahGahd

I freaked when I saw you could use your ME2 team mates in the Arena thing. Can't wait for some Grunt

Pretty much every squad mate has a Meet Up scene either before or after the party. In the Arena Liara and Jack is a nasty combination, god damn biotic detonations everywhere. It's also pretty sick to see Wrex and Grunt go to town in the arena and start wrecking shop.

Damn, this game was sucking my life away. I finished my first play through. I thought I would be able to unlock the Sentinel Ally and Quarian Ally trophies since I brought them to most missions and assignments. Oh well, maybe next time.

Wrex and Grunt was the only team I used for the harder parts of the arena; shotguns and roaring everywhere lol, plus I can just set up shot far back and take guys out with my Black Widow

Did anybody else go through with all the pull ups with Vega; I pretty much had to do it and I was halfway expecting something at the end

Yeah I did all of them, such a troll move by Bioware. Vega just is like "Wow" and that's it.

Some bullshit.

I've been soloing the arena challenges so far. Do you get more points for doing it alone? I hope I'm not wasting my time

The Citadel DLC was amazing. But there were to glitches in it that were extremely annoying

Spoiler:
At the very beginning of the Citadel Archives mission when your in that room fighting the CAT6 mercenaries, the door leading into the next room wasn't there and when you went through you fell through the map. So it prevented me from moving on which pissed me off. I reload my save multiple times I turned the game off and turned back but none of that worked. I then tried to restart my computer to see if that would fix it, but nope didn't work. So I just said "Fvck it" and decided to worry about tommorow, and the next day I don't know what happened but the glitch fixed itself :D. But then it came back in my other playthroughs but it wasn't as annoying like the previous time.

Spoiler:
This one happened right at the beginning when Joker picks you up in the skycar to prevent your clone from stealing the Normandy, and when I mean at the beginning I mean right at the beginning. Right before the cutscene starts, you die. The cutscene dosen't play ether. I pressed the resume button on my first playthrough and that fixed it, but it was more annoying when I was playing as my Paragon Sheperd. I did all the things I did for the first glitch (besides restart the computer) and it fixed.

Other than that I enjoyed it. Javik's and Grunt's meet ups were the best by far.

Salarian Actor: Oh wise Prothean elder, what wisdom will you share with us?

Javik: Salarian kidney is best served at room temperature. Esspesially if the Salarian is alive. The fear adds.....spice.
