While I got complications going on with the HD capture card, I WILL have a computer that will be able to capture it eventually because I didn't just buy this crap for nothing.

but the point of this thread is to discuss a point BBBLP brought up and to decide the direction we should go with this film.

I know, It's just I will have to do it FOR you, to maintain quality is all.

Trust Me I know how to make people look smart with their character.

That "xclude Xbox players" thing is only there incase a massive number of people want this to be only 100% REAL material of the player themselves. Since I don't have an Xbox you know the drill.

Its not just about combos as Critical said earlier.
Its also about mind games, traps, reads, resets, BnB's & maybe even the flashy-impractical youtube-type combos.
 
Yes as BBBLP said, This video isn't 100% combos. It's ment to show intellect as a player. There will be pressure moments, Mind games, Clutch moments.

Don't get me wrong some combos will be there. But I'm not out to just do big damage combos. I'm more interested in just making us look Smart.
 
Hmm the footage of the player playing seems good, however it would exclude EU players (me) because if Critical wanted to record it himself playing would be impossible for the europeans.

Yeah, it would exclude like half the site to be honest. But I just put the option there incase people wanted it.

I could take video from you instead of recording it myself. but if and only if you have your own HD capture card.

I think that a good idea would be that somebody could tell you what they want you to do and keep that in mind for when you play eg If I say i'd like you to throw a few knives with Kano against a character that has lots of recovery on their projectile to bait them into throwing a projectile so you can counter it with an air ball and you keep that in mind when you play (terrible example I know but you know what I mean right?)

Yeah you are allowed to do that, Just keep in mind if you tell me you want something done in the vid that sounds shallow and undeep I'll ask you to reconsider lol.

like if someone tells me "Yo with noob could you do shadow/slide/slide then do shadow shadow!!!"

I would obviously suggest I'd make it prettier if you want to show the zoning aspect by having both players do the proper movement around with dash blocks and walking in and out of their opponents reach to bait something then shadow.

Get what I mean?
 
I don't want some dude with 50 posts representing TRMK lol you should only accept members that almost everyone is familiar with.

Examples:

Nasty Freak

BBBLP

Yourself

iVital

Viking Poodle

Vigilante Firedragon

Etc

And the play frequently thing is good so you don't accept members who don't, so they can get challenged by someone who saw the video and get their butt whooped, making TRMK look bad.

That's why I'm not volunteering because although my Stryker is pretty solid, I don't play much anymore so I wouldn't be a good fight against a good MK player.
 
It would be awesome to have a little tourney to see who gets who.
Like people battle it out to get the right to represent the character.


Maybe Pat could even hook them up with a little title.

That'd be a nice way to go about it, except that TRMK has some people who are xbox exclusive and PS3 exclusive.
 
I've been playing MK9 since day one of the release and I'm still active in the game. I think anyone who is currently playing the game and has a passion for the game should get a video clip if they really wanted one. I think of it as a sport now and I'm taking it more seriously lately so I understand the concern behind it but I look at it as representing your favorite sport team -- In this case I roll with TRMK from the noobs to the pros; after all, this is where my skill got elevated to begin with.
