Review this on Tuesday
Lol this movies actually on my instant queue but I haven't gotten around to watching it. But sorry I'm going to review this on Tuesday I'll review it when I watch it. I'll be reviewing every movie I watch this summer if I find this whole reviewing thing enjoyable. So far I love doing it, it's a real fun hobby!
I think I'm going to stock pile like 5 reviews before I set my tumblr up so I never fall behind. Hopefully..
Okay so I was wondering what you guys think of this.... Since I'm doing this on Tumblr I'm going to assume people don't want "walls of text." They want "Flash Reviews"!!! To the point but still informative reviews. My judgement becomes cloudy when I dwell on things so please tell me what you think. This is a revised House of the Devil review in this new format.

Pros
~Solid build up - The mode this movie sets with its slow pacing is exceptional. It's not afraid to take its time in building atmosphere which is an extremely crucial aspect of horror films that is often overlooked these days.
~Score - Can be a little obnoxious at times but it really complements the 1980's aspect of the film.
~Genuine 80's feel - It's a great homage to classic 1970's and 1980's horror films. It emulates them to a T without ripping them off.
~Fun to look at- Visually it's very interesting while staying true to 1980's cinematography.
Cons
~Acting of minor characters - Some of the acting of the secondary characters is a little choppy but the lead actress, Jocelin Donahue, does a good job so it doesn't take too much away from the film.
~Unintentionally Corny - Some parts of the film are, for lack of better words, cheesy but it doesn't tarnish the film too much.
The Verdict
The House of the Devil is a slow paced shocker that masterfully builds tension throughout the entire film. Overall this is a good film and a must watch for any horror fan.
