Less likely means that it doesn't happen as often but still happens. So if you wanted to dissect and attack my statement, it should go a little something like this.

Basically K1LL thinks that the Majority of people that have a devout religious belief, are broke as shit (not read as in debt, you have to have money in the first place to put yourself in debt since lenders don't arbitrarily throw money at high risk individuals, mishandling your funds means you spend it on the wrong things so you don't have it when you need it) and/or have a higher number of children than the status quot are less educated than the people that don't fall into those categories/stereotypes.

Also, less educated hardly means stupid, it just means not as educated. Stupid falls far below and often times out of the realm of education.

i.e. dancing on a table that isn't made to support the weight of a human is stupid, yet many a college educated girl/boy do it (proof on YouTube).
    I'm not ridiculing you.
It just sounded bad the way that you presented it.
I'm not trying to start a fight.
    Thank you for clarifying.

The death penalty tends to be bullshit because of our endless appeals process. The convicted murderers generally just keep filing appeals which keeps them alive all while costing tax-payers more than they would've if we'd have just given them a life sentence.

    Also, K1LLKANO for President.

Yeah there are many cases where Death row costs more than life sentences lol.

A life sentence carries the possibility of escape, which puts dangerous people back on the streets; the death penalty does not (NOBODY escapes death)!

    I rest my case!

These people killed people, raped people and/or destroyed countless lives.
They obviously didn't care about their life, so why should I?

yeah I'm not condoning capital punishment or no capital punishment.

I'm just letting you know that alot of times, life sentences are cheaper than death row.

    I'm indifferent to it because

1.) If they TRULY did it I think it's justified.

    but... on the other hand.

2.) I don't trust our court systems enough sometimes, because alot of innocent people have been put to death.

It's either 100% sure, or no death penalty.

i agree sorta. although i am against the death penalty, if i had to support it then i think the person should have to either be caught on video or have many people actually see them commit the crime.

again put yourself in their shoes or imagine it was your kid. would you want them put to death?

If it were MY kid that faced execution? Then I would disown him/her in defense of my own good name until they can prove their innocence to me beyond ALL possible doubt!

ok but if they were actually found guilty of the crime would you want them executed for it? (if it was your kid)

Re: Death Penalty - yay or nay?

nay. no one has the right to play God (or whatever the hell it is you may believe in). not to mention, killing someone, no matter what they may have done, makes you exactly like them (an animal, if you ask me). also, it is already known how the rich usually get lawyers that make sure they win on their behalf even if they are guilty, in which case if the other side is someone poor well, he's screwed. also, there have been cases of errors and sentences of people to death and after years discovering new evidence that shows someone else did the crime. for all the above reasons, big nay. after all, the prison is a much worse torture than death for heavy crimes. what is really needed in each country is a better built and actually fair justice system. also, they should try and make prisons have a point. you lost your freedom which is huge , you won't live here like a prince obviously but not make them live like animals as well. the purpose of prison is supposedly to make you become a better person, not just keep you there because you committed a crime. if they treat inmates like animals , the prison will obviously just make them much worse when they get out. the whole justice system everywhere should be rebuilt.

As long as the punishment fits the crime. For instance, if it were a self-defense killing or if they did so while their house was broken into, I would fight to the death to have him/her exonerated, since self-defense and "Castle Doctrine" killings should not even be prosecuted or be subject to a "wrongful death lawsuit" to begin with, But if it was a murder of the nature of OJ, then I'd have no problem with my kid being executed for it. And in the interest of full disclosure, I maintain this stance with regards to ALL people!

As for sex offenders, ALL of them should be executed!

If it were my kid and I believed they were guilty or they admitted it, I'd pull the trigger/switch while looking them in the eyes because I know that I would have taught them better.

If it were me that did it, I'd have the balls to admit my guilt, forgo defense and accept the punishment meted out by the law.

**** me, I must have morals or something...

I don't look at it as killing someone. They lost the privilege of being 'someone' when they gave up on the rest of humanity. I look at it like the removal of a cancer or parasite. Don't get rid of the cancer and it will grow, consume and destroy the entity within which it resides (civilization).

It's hardly playing God since that route equates to free will. They freely chose to partake in actions that have warranted their removal from society in a manner that makes sure they never come back.

Re: Death Penalty - yay or nay?

I think if someone is getting the death penalty, it should be 100% proven that, yes, they absolutely did commit the crime. If there is even a slight chance they didn't, don't give death.

I don't think it makes anyone better or worse as a person, I just think it signifies that justice has been served and that scum of the earth be removed from it =)

I don't believe in God but I have a question for those who do: For the people who say they don't want to play God in choosing to put someone to death for a crime, wouldn't you consider the people who took a life as playing God? If so, why is it wrong for someone else to do the same to them?

Re: Death Penalty - yay or nay?

mabey its just me but i just have this "2 wrongs dont make a right" mindset when i think of this topic. i dont believe in "an eye for an eye". like why should anyone get to execute anyone? executing is killing. your basically "murdering" someone in return. even if someone killed my own kid or other family member i wouldnt want them executed for it.

I fully support the death penalty for rapists, murderers, adulterers, child molesters, terrorists, traitors, serial killers and homosexuals. It will be a lesson for other people to not commit the same act and to prevent mischief from spreading in the country. Also to make sure order prevails in the country, not chaos.
Even if it was a family member who committed there is no exception he should be killed, of course for each crime there should be proof.
Justice is justice whether your son or president committed the crime they should be punished.
It's the duty of the parents to warn their kids not to commit these acts or they will be killed, and the kid should act accordingly by avoiding it.

I'll volunteer as the believer here.

Yes, we would consider the people who took a life as playing God. It's wrong to do the same to them for the same reason it was wrong for them to do it. Wrong is wrong. The death penalty is fundamentally hypocritical.
