TRMK Guide - MK Vita Secrets / Unlockables Guide (SPOILERS!)

Vita Exclusive Alternate/Klassic Character Skins
As you clear out the Bonus Challenge Tower you will be able to unlock the 16 new character skins available only on Mortal Kombat for the Vita. To unlock the costumes you need to complete the Bonus Challenge Tower mission successfully, paying Koins to skip them WILL NOT reward you their prize.

Augmented Reality Training Arena

When on the character select screen for Practice Mode, use the Triangle button to enter the Arena Select. On this screen press the L & R shoulder buttons simultaneously while selecting any arena. You'll hear Shao Kahn's laugh to confirm you just selected the "Augmented Reality" arena.

Krypt Contents
The Krypt contents are the the same from the original game. See our Mortal Kombat Krypt Guide for locations for everything you may want to unlock, especially the Alternate Costumes. Also note that some new Vita concept art is available in the Gallery.

Bonus Challenge Tower Guest Appearances
Many regularly non playable, new and hilariously altered characters make their appearance in the Bonus Challenge Tower. Here's a list of them, with photos soon to come. These characters are NOT currently playable outside of the Challenge Tower via any method that we know of.

  • Cyber Shao Kahn (Playable, looks like Cyber Sub-Zero)
  • Cyber Skarlet (Playable, looks a bit like Sektor)

  • Zombies (Playable)

Please also include any additional characters in this thread, IF there are any.
Rumors have been floating around that there may be 1 or 2 additional characters on the Vita.
Once again, I know that they are just rumors, but it would be nice to have the rumors squashed if they weren't true.

Of course they would be included if they are unlockable, but until it's known it's just a rumor.

Completing the arcade ladder with Skarlet does not give you her alt. costume.

Most costumes (maybe all) are unlocked via the bonus challenge tower

The three DLC character alts are in the new challenge tower.

Haha thats awesome! Does Tremor have his own special moves or does he just share the fighting style/combo's with one of the other ninja?

He has his own unique moves, they are just changed projectiles of other characters but with their own properties. I wish they allowed him in Training mode or AdHoc though.

So far only found how to play as him in the Bonus Challenge Tower, so I clarified that above. No way to play as any of those characters outside of specific Bonus Challenge Tower missions, that we know of.

Is it hidden away inside somewhere? It's possible, but we don't know the full extent of that yet.

I doubt you can fight as him in Ladder because in that case he'd have to have his own moves, XRay and finishers.
 
I am trying to find a screenshot or video of Tremor! I am very, very excited about this because I know if they put the work to put in a new character, he has to be playable outside of challenge tower!

I can already tell you that his costume is orange/peach UMK3. Does anything else need to be said?
