My experience with Mass Effect is this:

Mass Effect 1:

I bought it on relese day, and played it on my brother's Xbox. I want to say my opinion then was "this game is good, but it was overhyped" I mean the way they described it in videos and commercials. Made it seem... RIDICUlOUSLY EXPANSIVE. when they showed me planets, then zoomed out and showed universes then galaxies and kept zooming out. I thought I was in for a ridiculous HUGE ride of extreme open-ness. Open-ness that would put those silly Elder Scrolls games to shame.

But when I played it I cried as it was pretty linear. There were a few side missions and stuff/quests. But for the most part the game was extremely linear. Nothing wrong with linear, I just wish it was advertised as such, and I would've probably enjoyed it more. But I enjoyed it "ok" because of the overhype.

So my motivation to get ME2 was kind of dead.

Then I saw how hyped Toxic was about Mass Effect, and it kind of made me want to play 2, because to me ME1 wasn't a bad game. Just a dissappointment to what I "THOUGHT" I was getting myself into.

trust me when I say linear is fine. I played FFXIII and I loved it, and that shit is linear as ****!

Metal gear solid is a linear game as well.

So i've beaten 1+2... and I'm ready for 3.

i hope they changes the speech wheel. i hope that the paragon saying isnt always on the top, the renegade saying isnt always on the bottom, and the neutral saying isnt always in the middle. it would make us actually have to think about what were going to say.

i also hope they made it so you can change your appearance THROUGHT THE GAME. not just at the beginning. like for example if you make your chin too wide or your nose too high up or whatever, then you wouldnt have to start your whole game over.

oh and i hope that the renegade action isnt always the easy way out of everything.

im sure ME3 will be great and it wont disappoint, but i hope they fixed those few things.

Vanguard for the win. Always. I've played Vanguards since ME1. I'm completely loyal to the class and the playstyle. Not only that, I can play as a Vanguard of my favorite race; The Drell. Friggin' tits in the boat awesome!

me too. soldier is the best. you can use any gun. although the only guns i ever really use are the sniper rifle and the assault rifle. i just go mad when i have to use the other guns.

This guy makes so much sense. I just really stopped caring about EA and Bioware. The only games I played from the EA publisher is Dead Space and Crysis 2. They have become money-grabbing game titans that only care about charging people.
