To Hell with Joe Montana, Dwight Clark, Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott, Steve Young, Bill Walsh, Jim Harbaugh, Alex Smith, Colin Kaepernick, etc! It's about damn time someone beat those bastards in the Super Bowl, anyway!
    Fixed.

    BLASPHEMY!!!
Montana, Rice, Lott and Steve Young were the reason that I first started following the 49ers in the hay-day, to begin with.

My first team has always been The Miami Dolphins, since it's my home team, but when those 2 teams didn't play each other, I rooted for BOTH of them to do good.

I'm just glad that The goddamned Patriots aren't in the Superbowl this year.
Shit gets boring after a while.
Good to see some other teams in.

I was at work while I was watching the game. During the halftime show, I had customers to take care of. lol

Hell, I would love to listen to Alicia Keyes singing during the halftime show. Plus I heard Beyonce was partly responsible for causing the power outage during the beginning of the 3rd quarter after that kickoff TD by Jones. lmao

Great game and it's about time two different teams play in the Bowl.
The half time show was total garbage and sorry if I offend anyone that enjoyed it. Next time I hope they get some real talent with good music to perform.

You have no idea how it feels to have your team's era of dominance come to a crashing halt thanks to one of the biggest FLUKE plays in NFL history! You have no idea how much it eats at your sanity for the first decade of your life, and you have no idea how much it turns into full-blown HATRED of the franchise that ended your team's era of conference domination! That's EXACTLY what the 49ers did to my childhood!

Or maybe you just don't give a shit!

And LC, how do you love that Jacoby Jones dude now?!

Like I said, how about some Metallica, KISS, AC/DC, and/or VH? I mean, Metallica performed in the 2002 AFC Championship Game, KISS performed at the 2002 Winter Olympics...Metallica has the highest selling album of the Soundscan Era, AC/DC has the second highest selling album of all time, VH has one of the most influencial guitarists in the history of rock 'n' roll (plus, EVERYONE should hear Eruption)! Or how about Rush? Or Alice Cooper? Or Scorpions? Rock You Like A Hurricane is a song that was MADE for Super Bowl Halftime!

    Good lord.
    Calm down, dude.

I wasn't trying to attack your childhood.
I was just stating that those were the players that I looked up to as a kid.
I even put a "" face afterwards to denote a playful manner.
    Period.

As far as not knowing what it's like to have a terrible football team.

    I'm a die-hard Dolphins fan.
I know what it's like to have you favorite team let you down year after year, especially having one of the best throwing QB's in NFL history without a Superbowl ring.

Well, as a longtime Cowboys fan, the players you looked up to as a kid were the same players I wanted to see fall, ESPECIALLY Joe Montana for what he did to my team in the 1981 NFC Championship Game! Imagine my delight when we got our revenge 11 years later (but not before stealing Charles Haley from them)!

And for all you Eagles fans out there, I just came across a glamorous trend...Each of the last 4 Super Bowl champions have played on the road in the Eagles home opener! For the record, the Eagles are scheduled to host Chicago, Detroit, Kansas City, San Diego, and Arizona in 2013...and that's in addition to the 3 teams within their division (Dallas, Washington, and NYG), so boldly take your pick for the Eagles home-opener opponent...the current trend predicts that team will be next year's Super Bowl champs!

Trash, if your stated age is correct, you weren't alive in 1981. Your claims of The Catch ruining your childhood are invalid.

And I think this trend you reference is coming to an end... I don't see any of those teams winning the Super Bowl next year.

I used to be a huge frank gore fan...then he made a public statement about being the better team after losing the superbowl AND last yr on thanksgiving. Hope the niners are 6-10 next year.

Dammit, LC! You always have to ruin my trolling! Yes, the age shown is correct. The Catch did happen 21 months before I was born, but nonetheless, it STILL hurt me...especially coming from a family of Cowboys fans! I continue to stand by my hatred of the 49ers! They're on the same shit list as the Eagles, Redskins, Giants, Red Sox, and Lakers as far as I'm concerned!

Either Frank Gore is wrong, or Bill Parcells must be a liar. You are what your record says you are, and that is FINAL!
