Chapter 1
Spoiler:

Shao Kahn had said Baraka could never reach his potential in his current state. He said that they would never take Earthrealm without this. Baraka trusted Shao Kahn. He had taken care of him when no one else would. Baraka knew he would have to do it to please his master. He must do this for Shao Kahn, for the Tarkatans, and for all of Outworld.

The procedure had been painless. Baraka felt nothing, his heartbeat was nowhere to be found. He heard cheers, and Shao Kahns piercing laugh. Electricity rushed through Baraka's veins, he could feel himself getting stronger. Finally he reveals his blood red eyes. They are cold, emotionless, terrifying. What had worked on the Lin Kuei had worked on Baraka. The scientist had somehow been able to replicate the technology, and Shao Kahn was pleased.

Shao Kahn locked the door to the laboratory. The scientists looked at him, puzzled. Shao Kahn stared into Barakas dead eyes, and ordered him to kill the scientists. Panic. The scientists ran around like chickens with their heads cut off. Unfortunately for them, Baraka had not lost his bloodlust in the transformation. Splat! Baraka sliced clean through a scientists neck, the fear slowly disappearing from his eyes. Baraka made quick work of the rest of the scientists, until the laboratory had become a sea of red.

Shao Kahn returned to the laboratory. He looked around and clapped, even praised Baraka for his magnificent work. Baraka stood there, silent. At that moment, standing in a pool of blood, Baraka had a revelation. Shao Kahn had been right. He had never been able to reach his full potential. Shao Kahn beckoned Baraka to follow him, and suddenly cried out in pain. He looked down, seeing Baraka's blade protruding out his stomach. Shao Kahn fell to the ground, and Baraka headed towards Shao Kahn's chambers. He had realized how the scientists had achieved this biotic form of his, he would make his own biotic army.

Baraka stopped by the Flesh Pits. He gazed into the tubes to see Mileena, an upgraded version of him. He saw her teeth and her hourglass shaped body. Baraka was unable to have emotions, but for some reason he felt the urge to kill. Maybe in the back of his mind, hatred still remained. For he knew Shao Kahn had seen him as obsolete. Baraka left the Flesh Pits, leaving broken tubes and maimed clones behind.

As he was walking toward Shao Kahns chambers, Sheeva, Shao Kahn's bodyguard, confronted Baraka. "Where is Shao Kahn?" she asked. Baraka said nothing, he raised his arm and fired what he thought was a spark at Sheeva. The projectile exploded, and Baraka realized the scientists must have upgraded his spark to a rocket. Sheeva charged Baraka, barraging him with punches to the arms and torso. But Baraka did not budge, he had not a scratch on him. Baraka dodged one of Sheeva's blows and thrusted both blades through the Shokan's chest. Baraka moved on, leaving the Shokan to rot.

Jade, Kitana, and all of Shao Kahn's minions had fled to Earthrealm. All except the Tarkatans, who remained loyal to Baraka. The Tarkatans listened to Baraka as he told them of the unimaginable power, the feeling of the metal blades tearing flesh. They look awed by the description, eager to have that power for themselves. One by one they would become just like Baraka, fully cybernetic. Baraka opened a portal to Earthrealm. Together, with his army of enhanced Tarkatans, he would invade Earthrealm. Elder Gods be damned, the world would be his.

Chapter 2
Spoiler:

It was beautiful. The grass, the trees, the landscapes. Baraka had never really seen Earthrealm before. He saw a city in the distance, buildings reaching up to the sky, the noise of regular everyday city life could be heard for miles. Baraka ordered his Tarkatans to march. The city was close, Baraka would show the Elder Gods his true power.

A few miles away, Raiden had sensed a portal opening from Outworld. He watched as the mechanical terrors marched toward the city. He quickly called on Kung Lao to gather the Shaolin warriors, they must protect Earthrealm at all costs. The Shaolin moved quickly towards the Tarkatans, they would cut them off before they did any real damage.

Baraka had sensed they were being followed, his ultra sensitive hearing had heard many twigs being broken. He motioned to his Tarkatan general toward the trees, and he motioned to his soldiers. Baraka knew he wouldn't be able to take the city without opposition. He had hoped the Shaolin would find him, it would instill even more fear into the Elder Gods.

A field of war cries, an army of Shaolin warriors rushed out from behind the brush. Baraka ordered his Tarkatans to leave no Shaolin alive. Many of the Shaolin tried to attack the cyborgs with hand to hand combat, those warriors were met with rockets and blades to the throat. The Shaolin were dropping like flies, the grass turning a distinctive scarlet color. Kung Lao watched as his Shaolin brothers were being slaughtered. He threw his bladed hat at a charging Tarkatan, the hat slicing clean through the Tarkatans internal wiring. The cold red eyes suddenly turned black, and the cybernetic warrior fell. Kung Lao fought even more Tarkatans, making each one fall to the ground. Baraka saw this and realized he would have to deal with Kung Lao himself.

He approached Kung Lao, an emotionless killer, ready to destroy another obstacle in his path. Kung Lao threw his hat at Baraka, the sharp blades became a blur as the hat came near. Baraka caught the weapon on his blade and tossed it right back at Kung Lao. Lao managed to dodge in the knick of time, but soon realized this cyborg was going to be harder than the others. Kung Lao charged the Baraka, unleashing a fury Baraka had never seen. The blows connected with the cold, armored steel.

Baraka was unamused, he was growing restless. He needed to speed up his plan. Kung Lao came at Baraka again, he dodged the blows. Baraka thrusted his blade forward, Kung Lao caught one of the blades between his hands. Baraka was impressed, this fighter certainly was well trained. He soon realized that he had only been fighting with one blade, and quickly drew his second blade. Fear. Kung Lao did not realize what was happening until Baraka sliced the two hands clean off. Kung Lao looked down in horror at the stumps of his hands. Baraka made a swift motion to remove the legs. Kung Lao looked up as Baraka walked towards him.

The Tarkatans had made quick work of the Shaolin. Raiden had fled, to warn Liu Kang and the other warriors of Earthrealm. This field had become a Shaolin graveyard, bodies and body parts strewn across the blood soaked ground. Soon they heard footsteps coming from behind them. They could make out Barakas blades, holding something in the air. As he drew closer, Kung Laos head had become to take shape, resting on Baraka's right blade. The Tarkatans erupted into an uproar of cheers. Their conquest would continue, they marched on toward the city in the distance. Baraka would show the Elder Gods who truly is the most powerful being in all the Realms.

Chapter 3
Spoiler:

Buildings were burning. The sizzling of the flames was drowned out by the piercing screams of innocent people. Stryker watched in horror as the Tarkatans slaughtered everyone in sight. The military had tried to step in and stop the Tarkatans. Ting! Ting! Ting! the bullets bouncing off the cold metal armor of the Tarkatans. Stryker knew he had to do something.

Baraka watched as his Tarkatans executed his plan. Once this city has fallen he will show the Elder Gods his true power. One thing was always at the back of his mind however, why are they sitting in silence? Surely they care about Earthrealm, they wouldn't leave it to rot and burn? Baraka saw four military personnel approach him. They started firing their rifles, the bullets shooting out at the speed of light. Baraka walked towards them deflecting all their bullets. They pulled out knives and handguns and began to attack Baraka. He spun around, letting his blades slice each individual stomach. The soldiers lay on the ground gasping, bleeding out like pigs.

The military had brought Tanks to take care of the Tarkatans. They were made of marvelous steel and seemed untouchable. Baraka liked a challenge. He charged one Tank, the crew desperately trying to fire. The first shot missed, sending gravel and debris into Baraka's eyes. He jumped toward the Tank, plunging his blade into the main turret. He felt the bullet move deeper into his blade, until a fiery explosion knocked him back. The tank lay in pieces, and Baraka was still on his back. Baraka realized that may have damaged him, but got up and continued his terrifying campaign to strike fear into the Elder Gods.

Kabal watched as his guys were getting slaughtered. He had just watched the leader of the invaders take out a tank with his bare blade. He just smirked and pulled out his hook blades. "This ends now," he thought to himself. He dashed toward the Tarkatan, colliding straight on with the beasts armor. They both flew back and hit the ground. Kabal spit out the dirt and blood and got up. The Tarkatan seemed to not be scratched. Kabal thrusted at the Tarkatan, but his hook blades were no match for the superior Tarkatan blades. Kabal thrusted his hook blades into the Tarkatans foot. The cyborg looked down at the blades and watched as Kabal came near. "Not so tough now huh?" Kabal joked. The Tarkatan raised up his blade as if Kabal would be dumb enough to run into it. He took out a grenade and pulled the pin, making a distinctive clicking sound. Suddenly something shot out of the beast's blade. It removed Kabal's hand until it left only a stump. Kabal screamed in pain, and tried to run from the cooked grenade.

Baraka took out the hook blades and walked past the litter of body parts. He stuck one of the blades in Kabal's head. It seems that a police officer is shouting Kabal's name. "He must have been Kabal's partner,"
Baraka concluded. "Police brutality comin' up!" the officer shouted in a sort of war cry. He took out his gun and began unloading on Baraka, the bullets flying in every direction. The officer tried throwing a grenade, Baraka shot a rocket to meet the grenade mid flight. Baraka saw the human take out an electrifying weapon, one that gave its victims a huge shock. Baraka knew that could finish him, playtime with the officer was over. The officer charged and lunged with the weapon, Baraka dodged and took the weapon from his hand, thrusting it into the human's neck. His screams of pain showed the weapons true power. Baraka would find a way to attach this weapon to his body.

As the military reinforcements came they were met with a terrible scene. Military bodies were scattered all over, body parts strewn across the streets. There were no buildings left, rubble and debris was all that remained. Men and women who had not escaped were lying everywhere. Some had tried to protect their children, some had been running for their lives. This was all met with an even more horrible sight. Along the thick oak tree in the middle of the park, the police chief Stryker hanging from the tree by a small intestine attached to a hook blade. On the hook blade rested Kabal's head. Baraka and his troops moved on, heading towards the special forces base located a few miles away from the ruined city.

Chapter 4
Spoiler:

Kano could smell the murky water of the swamp. He had to come up for air every few seconds, then he regretted it as soon as his nostrils filled with that horrible odor. Then he heard attack dogs in the distance and continued to swim. The trees completely blocked the sunlight, it was almost as if a roof of dead branches were over his head. Out of nowhere he felt a prick in his leg. He came up for water and saw nothing, so he kept on swimming. Then he felt something touch his leg, and he started to swim faster. His head bumped into a green blob in the water. Bubbles emerged at the surface as he screamed. It was an alligator's head, teeth white as pearls, hundreds of little butcher knives waiting to sink into his flesh. After he was done shrieking like a banshee, he noticed it was a severed alligator's head.

He felt to hands grab at his throat. He rushes out of the water and stares into cold, furious eyes.
"Aren't you one slippery son of a *****?"
"I'm not a ****ing fish mate"
"Yeah, a fish isn't a complete waste of oxygen"
Jax dragged Kano by the arms back to his base.
" Hey Perkins, watch my back alright?"
" Yes sir!"

Perkins followed his CO through the thick brush. He hears a twig break behind him. He shoots back a glance, and sees brush swaying in the wind. He turns back around, as Baraka grabs his throat. He hoists him up into the air. Baraka opens his mouth to reveal a sparking tazer where his tongue used to be.
" What the **** are you!"

Baraka sinks his teeth into the private, as the flesh starts to sizzle and burn. No one can hear Perkins screams as Jax continues forward.

"Where the **** is that kid?"
"Your little private gone missing huh?"
"Shut your damn mouth!"
Something runs past Kano and quickly slices through his leg. Jax drops him and runs for his life.
"Stupid little *****! When I fin.....AGGGHHHHHH"
Baraka slices through Kano's throat, and plunges both of his blades into his non-mechanical eye. Blood shoots out like water from a fire hose. Jax can hear Kano's screams as he runs back towards base. Baraka leaves the bloody writhing mess to die in the swamp. He calls his brothers Shaka and Lakka to follow him.

"Lock everything down! Security protocol 54678!"
Soldiers scramble to secure the doors as Jax runs to tell Sonya what happened. As soon as he leaves, the Tarkatans blow open the steel doors with their rockets. The soldiers flail around trying to shoot at the biotics. Throat after throat was slit, head after head was decapitated, and one by one 56 soldiers fell to the Tarkatans. Baraka and his brothers move forward.

"We have to get everyone out of here!"
"Jax, what the hell has gotten into you?"
A severed head rolls in the door as the biotics enter.
It is 47 against 3, the troops prepare to attack.
"Open fire!"
Bullets fly through the air, cutting it like a knife. Cling! Clang! Cling! Clang! One soldier falls to the floor as his own bullet makes a hole in his head. When the smoke clears Jax and Sonya are the only ones left. Sonya tries to kick Shaka. He brings his blade up into the air and cuts off her leg.
"Sonya!"
Shaka slices clean through her head, as her still, horrified face rolls on the floor.

"You ****ers about to pay for that"
Jax unleashes a mega dash punch through Shaka's steel skull. The Tarkatan falls to the floor and makes a piercing sound as he hits the ground. Lakka brings his blade to Jax's throat. Jax grabs his arm and rips it clean out of his socket. Lakka brings his other blade up, Jax uses the arm to cut Lakka's own cybernetic head clean off.

"Gagghhh!"
Baraka plunges both of his blades into each of Jax's legs. As Jax looked up at those red, furious eyes, Baraka grabbed Jax's head and ripped it right off of his body. He takes a huge bite out of Jax's face and throws it to the ground. He walks off to regroup with his army, leaving a trail of blood behind him.

More to come!
