Chapter 1
Shao Kahn had said Baraka could never reach his potential in his current state. He said that they would never take Earthrealm without this. Baraka trusted Shao Kahn. He had taken care of him when no one else would. Baraka knew he would have to do it to please his master. He must do this for Shao Kahn, for the Tarkatans, and for all of Outworld.
The procedure had been painless. Baraka felt nothing, his heartbeat was nowhere to be found. He heard cheers, and Shao Kahns piercing laugh. Electricity rushed through Baraka's veins, he could feel himself getting stronger. Finally he reveals his blood red eyes. They are cold, emotionless, terrifying. What had worked on the Lin Kuei had worked on Baraka. The scientist had somehow been able to replicate the technology, and Shao Kahn was pleased.
Shao Kahn locked the door to the laboratory. The scientists looked at him, puzzled. Shao Kahn stared into Barakas dead eyes, and ordered him to kill the scientists. Panic. The scientists ran around like chickens with their heads cut off. Unfortunately for them, Baraka had not lost his bloodlust in the transformation. Splat! Baraka sliced clean through a scientists neck, the fear slowly disappearing from his eyes. Baraka made quick work of the rest of the scientists, until the laboratory had become a sea of red.
Shao Kahn returned to the laboratory. He looked around and clapped, even praised Baraka for his magnificent work. Baraka stood there, silent. At that moment, standing in a pool of blood, Baraka had a revelation. Shao Kahn had been right. He had never been able to reach his full potential. Shao Kahn beckoned Baraka to follow him, and suddenly cried out in pain. He looked down, seeing Baraka's blade protruding out his stomach. Shao Kahn fell to the ground, and Baraka headed towards Shao Kahn's chambers. He had realized how the scientists had achieved this biotic form of his, he would make his own biotic army.
Baraka stopped by the Flesh Pits. He gazed into the tubes to see Mileena, an upgraded version of him. He saw her teeth and her hourglass shaped body. Baraka was unable to have emotions, but for some reason he felt the urge to kill. Maybe in the back of his mind, hatred still remained. For he knew Shao Kahn had seen him as obsolete. Baraka left the Flesh Pits, leaving broken tubes and maimed clones behind.
As he was walking toward Shao Kahns chambers, Sheeva, Shao Kahn's bodyguard, confronted Baraka. "Where is Shao Kahn?" she asked. Baraka said nothing, he raised his arm and fired what he thought was a spark at Sheeva. The projectile exploded, and Baraka realized the scientists must have upgraded his spark to a rocket. Sheeva charged Baraka, barraging him with punches to the arms and torso. But Baraka did not budge, he had not a scratch on him. Baraka dodged one of Sheeva's blows and thrusted both blades through the Shokan's chest. Baraka moved on, leaving the Shokan to rot.
Jade, Kitana, and all of Shao Kahn's minions had fled to Earthrealm. All except the Tarkatans, who remained loyal to Baraka. The Tarkatans listened to Baraka as he told them of the unimaginable power, the feeling of the metal blades tearing flesh. They look awed by the description, eager to have that power for themselves. One by one they would become just like Baraka, fully cybernetic. Baraka opened a portal to Earthrealm. Together, with his army of enhanced Tarkatans, he would invade Earthrealm. Elder Gods be damned, the world would be his.

Chapter 2
It was beautiful. The grass, the trees, the landscapes. Baraka had never really seen Earthrealm before. He saw a city in the distance, buildings reaching up to the sky, the noise of regular everyday city life could be heard for miles. Baraka ordered his Tarkatans to march. The city was close, Baraka would show the Elder Gods his true power.
A few miles away, Raiden had sensed a portal opening from Outworld. He watched as the mechanical terrors marched toward the city. He quickly called on Kung Lao to gather the Shaolin warriors, they must protect Earthrealm at all costs. The Shaolin moved quickly towards the Tarkatans, they would cut them off before they did any real damage.
Baraka had sensed they were being followed, his ultra sensitive hearing had heard many twigs being broken. He motioned to his Tarkatan general toward the trees, and he motioned to his soldiers. Baraka knew he wouldn't be able to take the city without opposition. He had hoped the Shaolin would find him, it would instill even more fear into the Elder Gods.
A field of war cries, an army of Shaolin warriors rushed out from behind the brush. Baraka ordered his Tarkatans to leave no Shaolin alive. Many of the Shaolin tried to attack the cyborgs with hand to hand combat, those warriors were met with rockets and blades to the throat. The Shaolin were dropping like flies, the grass turning a distinctive scarlet color. Kung Lao watched as his Shaolin brothers were being slaughtered. He threw his bladed hat at a charging Tarkatan, the hat slicing clean through the Tarkatans internal wiring. The cold red eyes suddenly turned black, and the cybernetic warrior fell. Kung Lao fought even more Tarkatans, making each one fall to the ground. Baraka saw this and realized he would have to deal with Kung Lao himself.
He approached Kung Lao, an emotionless killer, ready to destroy another obstacle in his path. Kung Lao threw his hat at Baraka, the sharp blades became a blur as the hat came near. Baraka caught the weapon on his blade and tossed it right back at Kung Lao. Lao managed to dodge in the knick of time, but soon realized this cyborg was going to be harder than the others. Kung Lao charged the Baraka, unleashing a fury Baraka had never seen. The blows connected with the cold, armored steel.
Baraka was unamused, he was growing restless. He needed to speed up his plan. Kung Lao came at Baraka again, he dodged the blows. Baraka thrusted his blade forward, Kung Lao caught one of the blades between his hands. Baraka was impressed, this fighter certainly was well trained. He soon realized that he had only been fighting with one blade, and quickly drew his second blade. Fear. Kung Lao did not realize what was happening until Baraka sliced the two hands clean off. Kung Lao looked down in horror at the stumps of his hands. Baraka made a swift motion to remove the legs. Kung Lao looked up as Baraka walked towards him.
The Tarkatans had made quick work of the Shaolin. Raiden had fled, to warn Liu Kang and the other warriors of Earthrealm. This field had become a Shaolin graveyard, bodies and body parts strewn across the blood soaked ground. Soon they heard footsteps coming from behind them. They could make out Barakas blades, holding something in the air. As he drew closer, Kung Laos head had become to take shape, resting on Baraka's right blade. The Tarkatans erupted into an uproar of cheers. Their conquest would continue, they marched on toward the city in the distance. Baraka would show the Elder Gods who truly is the most powerful being in all the Realms.
