I almost don't feel like voting. None of these politicians seem to think for themselves. Take this past Obama speech, them democrats blindly applauded everything he said while the republicans just sat there unamused. I hate the media, both fox and the liberal stations, cuz they don't report. Hate the liberal side more because apparently Obama is a god, and in that debate a few days ago they tried hard to make them republican candidates look bad. I feel as if Mr Obama gets away with more with a majority of these news station, where if he did the same stuff as GW, he wouldn't be put on blast for it like GW was or even made fun of. I am just sick of media bias on both sides really though.
Both fox and CNN are guilty of being bias.

While fox pounds on the democratic party,

I've seen multiple situations where CNN didn't even bother covering some important negative stuff about the democratic party.

Funny... how Glenn Beck tries to tell people that children history books try to MAKE you think a certain way about things. By putting their ideas into yours w/o you developing your own conclusion.

Yet Glenn Beck himself puts HIS ideas into your head w/o letting you come to your own conclusion.

I just want simple facts Media please....

I'm a fully grown adult who understands how the system works.... I've been to college for a long time. I can think for myself.

One last thing..... I really believe people with a minimum of a college 2 year degree should be the only people who are allowed to vote.... I've have met ALOT OF EXTREMELY STUPID PEOPLE who vote based off of stupid stuff. I met a guy who said he didn't vote for obama because he was black. That was his only reason. Wtf? Not because he was trying to take away guns, or give us free health care.... I use "free" lightly. I've also seen people vote... who don't even keep track of what's going on. Also people who don't study basic economic principals or can't comprehend that nothing is free, can't see false promises when they are made. It pisses me off, I'd have to say one of the huge reasons this country is in bad shape is because of horrid EDUCATION. I've seen teachers pass students who are complete idiots/lazy just because they "like" them giving them like 60 retrys on tests. BULL SPIT!

I'm also sick of lesser of two evils, I'm also sick of how it has to be 2 extremes I generally have to vote for. I love aristotle and his mediation is the key to happiness. we need to be in the middle ground of what both parties want. Why can't I just vote for some guy I know in person who I KNOW IS GOOD. That way I can feel good about my vote. no... I'm forced to pick between two idiots who probably can't run the country better than me. I swear to god... when I'm of age I will run for president. I'll fine some way to make money for a campaign. And the thing i'll do people will not like, well too effing bad... you have to WORK to fix MISTAKES. Also not a fan of the central bank system mind you.

    so he deserves some credit

People want to blame him for everything

but when it's time to give the man credit, they turn the other cheek

Yeah, but you understand why people think the way they do though right?

It'd be like you telling me you found some cheap milk and we're roomates. And I give you the ok to buy it. And I take all the credit for obtaining it when you are the one who physically bought it.

Funny how I know obama's name as the guy who got him. And not the actual general/people who found him/killed him. why don't I know their names? The credit should be equally shared.

Do you really want the world to know the names of the Seals that killed Osama?

If u can get their names, you can find their address, where their kids go to school. etc...

Give that info to Osama loyalists and who knows what may happen. It was all about protecting them.

But besides that most of the Seals that killed Osama are dead now. RIP (Alot of them died in that Helicopter crash)

sorry point taken, that didn't cross my mind. But everything above the part where I mentioned not knowing names is why they think the way they do. I would still like to hear thanks to the genera/people who killed/found him. Even if it's EXTREMELY generic. like
"Thanks to those guys that caught osama" ect. but obama's name is definitely shoved down my ear canals as THE guy who got him.

I agree he deserves some credit. apparently giving the go during some situations took some serious balls "can only go based on what I hear." It's just a little annoying how he's portrayed for all the credit is all.

Because if you gave those SEALs names away, their families would be targeted by Al Qaeda, as shown in the SEAL Team 6 helicopter that was shot down.

    MK9: Baraka, Kano, Sindel
    SCV: Mitsurugi, Pyrrha Omega
Tekken 6: Jack 6, Roger Jr.

Re: Are you voting for obama?

I hate politics I actually avoid voting because I never found a candidate I liked. I remember when the last election was going on "obama says he'll do this" "oh yea well McCain said he would do this" I kept sitting there thinking "so?" I can tell you all kinds of things once I get into office no guarantees I'll do it. I always have hated Democrats vs Republicans. Always felt like a media control method that would keep our country divided.

Id rather have a crappy president like Obama rather than a crazy biggoted Republican like Michelle Bachman that stands for homophobia and other hurtful agendas they plan to push

Re: Are you voting for obama?

yes i would vote for obama. even though im a republican i would vote for obama, is not entirely his fault why america is in the state that it is now, Bush's tax cuts is what drove this country in to another recession, bush left all his problems for obama to fix so i would give obamma another chance to try to make things right. in a way it really doesnt matter whos in office, sometimes a democratic president has to take a republican approach and vice versa. and dont forget we got that S.O.B bin laden under obamas watch so in my book he earned some credit. we will never forget 9-11.

yeah, originally, during the early part of the united states, only landowning white men could vote in america, and not only that, their land had to yield a certain amount of shillings annually. later, it turned into all white men could vote, and in the late 1700's free black men could vote in some areas, but then that was stopped in the early 1800's. women weren't allowed to vote because women outnumbered men, as they pretty much do everywhere except china. lol. later, all white men and black men could vote (of course, black men could only vote, in theory, because a lot was done to prevent that even though it was the law), and women didn't gain the right to vote until 1920. anyway, will a lot of uninformed people vote? yeah, that's just how it is.

i say, as long as you're voting on what makes common sense and basic financial sense, then you're ok, but i don't think people should vote based on religion. for example, how could you vote for or against someone because of abortion, and be in favor of war? war will inevitably harm children and the unborn, so how could you be against one and not the other? most people who have super religious conflicts like that just don't vote, like the amish or jehovah's witness. can't be pro-life and pro-war/death. besides, i'm pretty sure all the founders were deists(not christians, per se), mostly lawyers , and the constitution is a hardcore legal contract, not the ten commandments. people get confused. they think the constitution was sent forth by god, and america was founded for white christian dudes by white christian dudes. not true. america was formed by a group of deist white dude lawyers, for other mercantile, landowning white dudes, and they were all under contract from the british crown before the british parliment took control in england after the glorious revolution.

in reality, it would have been based on how much you had to pay out, but as a non owner, you would've only been allowed to vote for certain lower level officials and not the more important ones. serious answer.

this is a good book on the creation of the constitution and other american history:
it's a little hardcore though. had to read this in college and i still go back and re-read parts, because it's really friggin tough to understand some of it.

Re: Are you voting for obama?

Nope, not gonna vote. I don't care what any political party says, they're all a bunch of filthy-****in'-money-grubbing-liars! They can keep selling, I'm not buying. The next time I'll vote is when we completely get rid of political parties, lower congressman salaries, enforce a term limit to congress, and create and agency that will make sure "kickbacks" are a thing of the past. But that's never going to happen, so I guess I won't be voting... Except propositions and such...

It's funny about Obama though, I'm actually surprised he's running for a second term, because I truly believe that he honestly thought he'd be able to accomplish all those promises he made and when he took office he found out how things really work... You can almost see it on his face and I'm not talking about how he appeared to age either.

Also, Critical-Limit, I have to disagree with this: "One last thing..... I really believe people with a minimum of a college 2 year degree should be the only people who are allowed to vote.... I've have met ALOT OF EXTREMELY STUPID PEOPLE who vote based off of stupid stuff." Because, there are some many idiots with "degrees" that it still puts you in the same boat. And even if you had doctorate in medicine, that doesn't mean you know shit about politics. At least 90% of the US population (can't speak for the rest of the world, but I don't see it being much different) are politically stupid. And most of it is their undying allegiance to their party. "Republicans are great; Liberals suck!" "Democrats are better; Republicans blow!" And so on and so forth... Also, (and I hate to be the grammar prick but) it's 'a lot' not 'alot'. Sorry, but that's just a major pet peeve of mine. Same with people confusing 'lose' with 'loose'.

Re: Are you voting for obama?

Lol its whatever I was typing quickly sue me for not grammar checking my essay type response.

I know there are still people uninformed even with a 2 year degree but it's less likely they will be as much if an idiot as most of these drop outs/barely graduate high school people who don't know anything at all.

Did you skim over the part where I mentioned they should have a grasp of how the economics work and that nothing is free? People eat the free promise all day. Did you also miss the part where I said they should keep up with what's going on to even vote?

I had more conditions than just simply 2 year degree. You offend me for not even doing me the courtesy of reading my post as a whole.

I know there is no way to enforce the last two conditions I would like to hope that someone whose had some college education can judge for themselves if they should vote

Re: Are you voting for obama?

Technically you didn't outright say that they, "...should have a grasp of how the economics work..." and "...should keep up with what's going on to even vote?". You said, "Not because he was trying to take away guns, or give us free health care.... I use "free" lightly. I've also seen people vote... who don't even keep track of what's going on. Also people who don't study basic economic principals or can't comprehend that nothing is free, can't see false promises when they are made."

You could say you were implying, but it'd sort of be a stretch. Besides, you don't need to know a thing about economics to realize: A) things are rarely free and B) that false promises are a part of sales, which is what the President is basically doing. And I also disagree that just because a person went to college, makes them more likely to be informed in politics. You don't need to go to classroom to find out someone is selling you short. That comes with life experience; you get screwed once, you move on and learn from it (hopefully). Go to any college and I guarantee that most of the students will either be far left or far right and will cheer on their side no matter what (does that make their vote any better?). The independents (such as myself) are in the minority.

    *EDIT* http://iamcaesar.tripod.com/econ.htm

Do you need to know these to make an informed vote? No. Would help? Not really. You vote for someone, because he may do what he promised and it doesn't necessarily matter how he does it (EX: passing a law that everyone wants and not having an understanding on the process it takes to get passed). It's kind of a "nice to know, but not important to know" thing (<--- early, can't think of the specific word I want to use, shut-up lol).

P.S. I did read your post the first time, but what I mentioned was what I didn't like, so I addressed it. On a whole, I'd like people to be informed, but it ain't gonna happen, so I just don't care anymore. I'mma take care of me and those around and that's about it :P
