I had in mind getting him ready for animation, retopo, textures, rigging are left to do.
The hat turned out really good. Good job Bleed.
Calactyte, nice job on the Courtyard. Those monks look pissed! I like it.

Calactyte, nice! But you need to make monks look a bit different![]()
A quick note on the straw hat - I would think the perceived difference in colour can also (partly) be attributed to the varying degrees of specularity in the strips that make up the surface. A few pictures that can hopefully illustrate my point: ONE, TWO. While there certainly could be some actual colour variation, non-uniform specularity could make the hat appear as a single colour under certain light conditions, and multiple colours under other conditions. Just something worth keeping in mind.
There was a Courtyard work in progress pic somewhere around here, and it had
3 different face models for the monks. I think it looked really cool. If you have the
time maybe you could try that, I think 3 faces are enough.
Your Courtyard is coming along really nice, however something bugs me - the corners.
In the original you're not supposed to see the pillar in the back when you reach the end
of the stage:
you can see beyond that via cheat "Go tru walls"
so the only way to see the back pillar, is to go through the invisible wall
and first reach that front dragon statue, and then you can see the pillar in the back.
On your Courtyard, you have the situation where you can see the back pillar,
but not the front dragon statue. It looks kinda weird to me.
There's difference in Raiden's hat because many sprites were blurred in MK1.But on TYM it's more like the photo I posted.
He also has cloth with different color here.
And corners are different, because you can see guard's shoes at left side.you're not supposed to see the pillar in the back
Right, also they have different palette, look at back monks.it had 3 different face models for the monks

If you were planning on changing them up a bit, is there a program or plugin that can morph the monks' faces? It would use the same model but generates random features without having to mess with every single one by hand.

What about those hills in tha background. planning on making them HD?
about the monks IMO they need a more oriental look.. they look to occidental to me
Calactyte, have you thought about giving depth to those stone blocks left
and right of the Yin-Yang simbol? Something like this:
like they are connecting to the Yin-Yang wall under an angle. Just a thought.
