Mortal Kombat HD Remix with MUGEN

Sure, I'll put it up tomorrow after work.

Re-rendering the older animations with the new lighting and textures.

Smoothed his head and Right arm animation a little.

Are you kidding me?... It looks fantastic... So now with the current arqs work and the bleeds comeback this project its more promising than ever!

Now we need some feedback of chris and his sonya :)

Johnny Cage is looking fine, but if you want to hear some honest nitpicking, it's still not close enough to the original. In the original, he is looking at the camera when he says "yeah", then he tilts his head more to the left with his mouth still wide open, and looks down straight at his glasses a bit more (he's facing and looking at the glasses from left to almost front), then at the end, he crosses his arms more closely and tightly, almost in a cool, badass classic hip hop crossed arms pose. The way it looks now, it looks like a Mr Clean or a lamp genie crossed arms pose, which is not as cool.

Also, it's a shame if these are the final models, since his face doesn't look enough like Daniel Pesina in the eyes/eyebrows and cheekbones area. The same applies to the the Liu Kang model, which in that case it doesn't resemble Ho-Sung Pak at all. You guys need to get those two distinctive and classic Mortal Kombat faces right, or else they will look like some generic Bruce Lee lookalikes instead of the characters everyone knows and loves.

You guys are doing an excellent job, that's some really professional quality stuff you guys are making! Keep it up!

sorry man, but if you want a FREE-non profit model made just for fun to be as close as that you can ask ho sung pak, daniel pesina and all the classic characters to go to a profesional studio and make a full body 3d scan so we can use those models... what you said about cage animation might be useful but just if the artist (bleed) wants to go that deep into nitpicking which I think is not necessary since in the original sprites you couldn't even tell if liu kang was asian or native american due to the low quality of the sprites at that time.

so thanks for the feedback but you made those critics like 1.5 years late, all liu kang animations and sprites are done and redone and redone.

cheers bro

If we keep tweaking, trying to make it perfect, it'll never get finished. There is always something that's not quite right. Another thing, is that it takes a long time to make, so doing some small changes is asking for hours of work and rendering to make a new sprite. We do the best we can, but realize that after a while it's not worth the effort.

Regardless, critique is always important and appreciated.
