I never understand why what people do for legitimate work is used as a negative? They always compare wrestling to pornography when that couldn't be further from the truth. stupid ass politician. lol

I think there are a few parallels between pornography and wrestling to be honest. The Wrestler highlights this but using a stripper. They use there bodies for our entertainment then when there old no one cares anymore. I do agree its quite far from pornography but these people will use what ever they can to beat the opposition. Wrestling has been criticized and in some cases rightfully so over the years. Its seen by alot as entertainment for idiots also. Big tools to use in a political debate thingy.

I love what they do and i wish people would understand its the same as movie or a film. Some things i dont agree with like the alleged encouraged use of performance enhancers back in the day and forced to work with injuries or no union, but the wrestlers know what they are doing and still go for it.

The way some of her opposition speak as if shes caused mass genocide and destroyed the morals of society.

So fans like jade and [sek] and many others whom like the legends and would be sad if anything bad happened them don't care? For example Randy Savage he was talked about for a long time both before and after his death then you have Scott Hall whom people care for so much they harass Nash because they think he could do more to help his friend. Then you have Roddy Piper, Ricky steamboat, Mick Foley, Hulk Hogan, stone cold who to this day still have a massive fan followings. Why do you think they have the legends classes every year the fans want it. So you can't say no one cares about them.

But on everything else we agree.

Sorry you took my point literally. I like the legends, my favorites of all time are Hogan, Taker and Austin(look at my profile pic, thats me as old school Taker at Mania 25 party round mine). You look at people like Dynamite Kid , lives in a council flat down a few hours drive from mine paralyzed . People like Jake Roberts, until recent years had no help and has had crippling addictions. You see folk, well known names having to work indy shows for nothing risking there lives for people to more or less laugh at them and a few bucks. Chynas another example, someone who clearly needs help, no one will give it to her. Just rather laugh at her and for some mad reason see her in porn.

Alot of older wrestlers, a vast majority infact have nothing. Yes i know you can say its their own fault and part of it is, but i think there should be more after care for companies partly responsible for there situation. i strongly believe alot of people were lulled into believing they would be contracted for a long time so they could 'Flair' there money with no consequences due to another pay check around the corner .

Its one thing to care when someone dies to actually caring about them. Until Macho Man died i consistently remember a majority of people laughing at him for coming across unhinged and for doing things like this:

You my need to check your facts dude Wwe has (to the best of my knowledge) a policy to help their past wrestlers if they have drug or health problems Again scott hall is a perfect example. And no if the legends squander away their money that's their fault no one should be held responsible for how someone handles their finances except the person themselves.

Chyna, is competent enough to know what she is doing. Be it porn or excessive amounts of plastic surgery if she decides to make a spectacle of herself then that's her prerogative and Wwe should not be held responsible for her actions while not an employee.

I don't think wwe should have to pay for anything outside of doc bills and rehab for drug addiction. You have to take into account individual responsibility. the company isn't at fault for their situation they knew the danger in doing the job.

I think you need to read what i have said before making such bold statements. Im aware WWE has helped alot of folk. I think if the Benoit incident hadnt happened they would have been less inviting to wrestlers plagued with demons. Im sure they have helped folk before that but not as many if infact any.

I do agree some responsibility has to be put on the individual but lots of wrestlers have been used like pieces of meat. WWE doesnt have to do anything but they do for some. Alot of folk haven't had the chance Dynamite a prime example could do with help.

Chyna is competent enough to know what shes doing? After shes been blasting WWE then asking for her job back, and people were trolling her on twitter as HHH and she thought it was actually them? Come one dude the woman has no grasp on reality what so ever. Shes tried to do other things and has to do alternative porn.

Um. Wwe was helping hall and others way before the Benoit thing happened and yes if she's competent enough to concent to doing porn, having plastic surgery and being a twitter user she should be able to handle herself on twitter, people attack everyone it has nothing to do with her grasp on reality it has to do with her being tricked by somebody on the internet.

Some of the legends still work for wwe in a different capacity. Used like meat or not Wwe isn't responsible for any restitution except for what I've already said. Considering they knew the price they'd have to pay to do what they wanted to do. I'm sure every one of them had the option to say No I'm not doing that. People need to be held responsible for their mistakes you can't blame your boss if you retire and didn't save money.

No.

Chyna is mentally unstable. It is not hard to see this. She CAN'T handle things. At all.

She does porn because she needs money and wrestling doesn't want her. She was on The Surreal Life years ago and she absolutely broke down because there was one 'contest' where fans would pick who they wanted an autograph (and picture, I think, this was a long time ago) and she was the ONLY celebrity who didn't get any votes. She broke down afterwards. Whether the show was real or not, she has displayed this same behaviour multiple times, so the emotions she had on the show were actually quite real.

Getting plastic surgery just shows how insecure she is, and she has said in many interviews that she was made fun of in school. Lets face it, Chyna, even back then, looked like a man. After her surgery, she still looks like a man.

She acts stupid and literally can't handle twitter and any comments that are negative towards her.

She has had problems with substance abuse, had a bad upbringing (hasn't seen her mother since she was a teen and her dad is angry with her because he wanted her to join the FBI and she obviously became a wrestler instead).

She is a very insecure person.

Also....no, a lot of the legends are NOT better off. This is said in interviews by some of them. Even Piper has talked about it. He is my favorite wrestler of all time and I will always be happy to support him whenever he shows up in town but they don't get a lot of money for what they do after wrestling and some of them even have some pretty bad jobs afterwards.

It's a sad reality but, yeah, that is pretty much it. Not all of them are poor or anything like that, but, yeah, a lot of them are doing stuff to make money, and not much :/

Guess I was wrong about chyna. That's awful to hear guess she was one that really benefited from the Wwe universe.

...how did she benefit?

She didn't, really.....she makes porn for money. She is useless to the wrestling world because no one wants to put up with her garbage, plus, having a porn 'star' in wrestling looks bad.

I don't know much about her personal life. But she seemed somewhat stable when she was a wrestler. The way you made it sound the cheer from the crowd would be something she'd benefit from. Do you know what happened with her and TNA did her deal fall through or something?

What if she came back to the WWE and people didn't cheer for her and they boo'd her instead? If she can't handle negative comments from Twitter and a voting from a reality show over an autograph, then hearing all the boo's and such right in front of her by thousands of people would probably make her put a bullet in her skull.

Yeah, Chyna is pathetic. She wouldn't last a day in the wrestling world at this point.

I actually liked Chyna when she first came to wrestling. She was awesome when she didn't talk and just hurt people.

Once she went on her own and had the stupid DON'T TREAT ME LIKE A WOMAN song, she got awful.

I didn't mind the "don't treat me like a woman" bit. her worst angle IMO was definitely "dating" Eddie and the Playboy fiasco.

^
might be roughly the same time period. I don't remember.

Now to be fair, WWE has paid for rehab for a lot of guys and has an standing offer to pick up the tab for anyone who ever worked for them and needs it.

BUT.

It's all PR. Vince said so under oath when he was dragged before Congress to testify when everyone was all up in arms after the Benoit mess. Bottom line is they wanted to stem the tide of wrestlers under 50 dying of causes that could be either indirectly or directly related to pro wrestling. They also use their Wellness Policy as a political tool and clearly have a "untouchable" list of guys who will never fail no matter how obvious it is they use. I'm not breaking any news when I state there is a very, very high possibility John Cena is taking some form of HGH and/or synthetic steroid. He was into bodybuilding before wrestling and clearly would have the knowledge of the proper way to cycle his shit to not get popped on a test. He also is the face of the company and idol to millions of children, not to mention the #1 biggest star of Make-A-Wish. He could come out on Raw this Monday looking like he did in the WWE All Stars game and he will never get a Wellness failure. Same as other top level guys like HHH (who actually looks like he's been off cycle for a while, but he definitely was when he was full time wrestling) and Taker, or young guys with huge builds Vince has a boner over like Mason Ryan, Ryback, and Big Zeke.

I can almost guarantee Randy Orton's failure came from him being on a short leash due to him having drug issues years ago, and even then he's on his 4th "second strike". Other than his first Wellness failure, he was sent home on at least two occasions for incidents that were drug related, and a non Wellness suspension for openly smoking pot backstage. He even had an OD that many sources have alleged was a suicide attempt, and a strange incident where he had an accident on his motorcycle that was mysteriously erased from history thanks to the St. Louis PD. Said incident was one where he was alleged to have wiped out on his bike under the influence of something WWE would have had to suspend him for, so someone made it go away instead.

So basically Orton spent the last several years as a more clean cut version of Jeff Hardy before cleaning up around the time his daughter was born. I hope what he got suspended for was more HGH/steroid related than recreational.
