What's the big deal with skinny jeans? I dont see how they are a sin against humanity. Much better than baggy pants that look stupid as hell. Even regular jeans look fruity. Nice, skinny, or even slim straight jeans look the best.

EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to mention. I'd say a good 85% of this forum is into Metal and shit. Those dudes wear THE skinniest pants. Some even wear skinny LEATHER pants. Yet they are the coolest mother****ers on the planet, but when someone like me wears them I'm just another "braindead kid". There are actually some very intelligent kids from this generation. I may not be the smartest, but I certainly don't have my head up my ass. Music is just as good, if not better than back in the day. I mean if you're one of those people who just turns on the radio to get your music fix, you're just asking for shitty music. Mainstream music has always been shit. If you actually dig deeper and dedicate time to finding good music, you'll see music is alive and well.

Because I dress how I do, and listen to the music I do, or talk how I do, doesn't mean I'm just another braindead kid. Labeling someone because of how they appear is the most ignorant thing in this world. I know no one personally attacked me, but I've read some pretty ignorant comments so far.

I was never a skater and don't call me an idiot. Skinny jeans suit a certain person, I used to know this guy at Uni who wore skinny jeans, he was quite skinny himself but it suited him. Me, I do a lot of working out so skinny would look ridiculous on me. I personally don't like them and how you can they look better than normal jeans, something that's been in fashion, since I don't know, the late 19th century, is beyond me. I dont wear baggy or skinny jeans, I wear normal jeans. Jeans and plain tshirt is my standard look, with either boots or shoes.

Loving your Renji avatar thingy... There is good music nowadays but its harder to find, well not really hard to find but Old school good music was mainstream I suppose. Most peoples was hating on pop & stuff... There are metal bands who wear skinny jeans and some are good... but look at mainstream "metal" Black veil Brides are the queerest band I've ever heard.
But as I said some ppl who wear skinny jeans are cool. Hell, I used to wear them so I didn't get hurt skateboarding so much.

Meh, it's all subjective. A lot of 90's music annoyed me as much as the stuff out today. I was accused of not liking music when the reality was I didn't care for the stuff others were listening to. When it comes to video games, I do prefer the 90's although it wasn't until 2000 before I really appreciated them. Television, while I do have fond memories of shows I grew up with, I barely watched any from high school and onwards. I never cared much for fashion, though I always thought sagging with pants or shorts made for someone much bigger during my middle school years was ridiculous.

The other night I had a couple of friends over to watch some funny movies, drink some beers, have a joint, ...

I am not sure if anybody is aware of this, but most of the fashions we have today, are not really "new school." Skinny jeans, so called "scene kid" style, "emo" style, all of it all originated in the 80's. Most of everything fashion wise that we have today has just been copied from the 80's.

The thing that really gets me is how the new generation takes things and makes it there own. I used to be ridiculed for my piercings, especially my stretched out ears. This was something I did 16 years ago that I still have today. Now kids approach me and ask me all these questions, and act like I am on the same page as them.

But, they couldn't be more wrong; I HATE their music, culture, outlook, stupid tattoos, their "snake bites," Jersey Shore fist bumps, eyeliner and lip gloss on dudes, and pretty much everything about them. It's cool to be into what you want to be into, but don't treat me like I am some kind of peer or how you clothes are better than mine, because a long time ago things were original and against the grain, and now it is something that is popular culture.

I used to wear ladies' jeans back in the 90's because they didn't make guys' stuff tight enough.

New School really isn't new, it's all just the same as before. I think you can see this in how all the music, games, movies and pretty much everything else besides music and technology has been ripped off from before.

When it comes to video games, I do prefer the 90's although it wasn't until 2000 before I really appreciated them.

The problem is with people just paying for the latest copy/paste first person shooter. It's gotten to the point where the next game I really want doesn't come out 'till early next year. It's so rare to see a truly unique game like Mass Effect that there's not much left that I haven't played already.
