I have a very, very strong suspicion as well. He never replies to any of our posts unless it's to spew incoherent crap that doesn't actually answer anything. Kinda like a monkey in a cage throwing feces around.

I say we ignore anything he says unless he's willing to actually respond in a coherent way to our posts.

No you don't. Everything we know about our world and universe backs up atheism far more than it does religion and in some cases, it actually refutes religion outright. You believe because you want to, not because the evidence is compelling. It is called "having faith" for a reason.
You can keep living in this fantasy land where everything makes sense by making as little sense as possible, I choose to live the one life I will ever have to the fullest without having to worry about "what might be".

Also, if you are serious, did you cross reference the 101 contradictions with your bible? You are awfully queit about that one.

I dunno, some of your posts are so....odd, to put it nicely.....that it seems like you are trolling.

No one can say 100% it is true or not true but it is easier to prove something does not exist when there is no proof that it ever did. Religious peeps always cop out with 'have faith' or some other crappy answer....but, come on, if you have solid proof, prove that God exists. I have proof that he doesn't....and that is that there is no solid proof that he did. Do ya understand what I am saying?

My appologies, but while we're on the subject, how do you see the Bible? Do you see it as a perfect piece of writing? It could be argued that it has many confusing passages. For instance "an eye for an eye" and "vengeance is mine, and mine alone", both are found in the Bible, both are quite contradictory to each other. While I personally find the Old Testamount to be the most incredible piece of fiction ever, I do concede that parts of the New Testamount probably did occur.

So, how do you find the Bible? Do you find it convenient that how the material is interpreted has changed so much over time, simply to fit in with social norms. For example, the crusades, witch hunting, all considered okay by the bible, yet today....people would see such acts as barbaric.

Who cares who the author is? Get the version of the bible you trust in most and cross reference the contradictions. I'll look up the version of the bible I have when I get back home from work, but I found all 101 contradictions in there.
If you trust your religion is flawless, you won't mind this challenge. I'm pretty sure I won't get an honest response from you after you've done this, but I will hope for one, nonetheless.

Edit: A lot of people have come to this "conclusion" by reading the bible carefully and thouroughly. In fact, I know that for many apostates, the many, many contradictions in the bible were one of the first reasons they gave up their religion entirely.
In any case, it doesn't matter who wrote down the contradictions or which translation they used, the fact is that they are there and there are many.

What about it? There is a spiritual side to Buddhism that I personally can't agree with, but I find the overall teachings of the Buddhas to be very useful. I don't necessarily agree that Buddhism is a religion either. Could you specify what you'd like people to address?
