3. Mortal Kombat 11 so far...

Shujinko resumes on his quest to find the remaining Kamidogu after the defeat and death of Shinnok. Kai's past starts catching upto him and he travels back to the himalayas to get rid of his inner demons once and for all. Raiden instructs him to seek out Nightwolf, who maybe able to help him. He then trains with Nightwolf for several years and learns how to tap into the lion spirits of his ancestors and finally made peace with his mind. He then departs to Edenia to master the use of Raiden's lightning staff, gifted to him by the Thunder God. There, he meditates for several years and gained the power of foresight, the ability to look into the future. He keep seeing hellish visions which troubled him greatly and approached Fujin. Fujin and Raiden instructs Kai to travel to Seido and decipher the meaning of such visions.

Johnny Cage and Kung Lao train a new generation of warriors at the Wushi Academy and White Lotus Society. Johnny after being done with his duties at Earthrealm, departs to Seido to further his own training. There he gets caught between the skirmishes between the Seidan guard and Orderealm Resistance. He befriends Darrius, the leader of the resistance and helped him spread the movement all over Seido. He spent about 7 years, helping the resistance before he was called back to Earthrealm by Raiden.

Raiden has ascended to an Elder God status and appointed Fujin, the God of wind as Earthrealm's new protector. Fujin instructs Sonya and Jax to form the Outer World Intelligence agency. After the defences of Earthrealm were somewhat secure he left for the mystical forests of the heavens and trained there, futher his abilities to control wind. He carved himself a windstaff and a crossbow which served as an extension of his abilities. During his routine meditations, he felt a soul calling out to him from the wastelands of outworld. On arriving there he realised that is was the soul of the legendary Salmatican warrior, Syphonius who was calling out to him. Syphonius used to be a resident at the islands of Salmatica, at the south west of Edenia and had the ability to control water. A love relationship had blossomed between Syphonius and Jade millenia ago when Jerrod was still in rule. However Syphonius was believed to have died fighting the forces of shao kahn when he invaded Edenia. Fujin explained Syphonius's plight to the Elder Gods, who then restored him back to life and made him the new protector God of Edenia.

Raiden had also instructed Fujin to search for Reptile. Fujin finally found him hiding in the Living forests and reasoned with him to join the forces of light. Reptile reluctantly agreed and with the help of Kitana, freed Khameleon who was locked away for centuries under Shao Kahn's rule. Both Reptile and Chameleon morphed back to their human like forms and proceeded to search for the last known surviving member of their race, Chameleon.

Chameleon, meanwhile was travelling through the wastelands of Outworld and was found by Nitara, a vampiress hailing from another realm.

Sub Zero, with the help of smoke and Cyrax took defeated the forces of Sektor and took over the Lin Kuei. Sektor proceeded to form a new clan of cybers known as the Tekunin.

Liu Kang still in his spectre form, declined the offer from the Elder Gods to transform him back to human, since he wished to repent for his sins. However with Kitana's help and consolation he finally accepted their offer. Although he still could transform into his spectre form at will. He helped Kitan, Sindel, Ermac and Mileena to rule Edenia and Outworld. They later married and Kitana concieved their first child, Attilio.

Rain, the traitor got captured by the efforts of Jade. King Jerrod (as Ermac) ordered him to be beheaded. However Syphonius intervened and asks the king for a last chance so that Rain can right all his wrong. Rain's mother, too was from Salmatica though he had no idea who his father was. Syphonius disciplines and trains him and soon King Jerrod gets impressed by his efforts and appoints him as the head of the Edenian Knights.

At the eternal palace of the Elder Gods, the Gods were troubled with Kai's new power of foresight and the visions he was seeing. They feared Raiden and the Forces of light would try and alter what is inevitably deemed to happen. In order to ensure that the future runs its course, they appoint their Enforcer, Lucious to overlook all thats going on in the realms.

Chapter 14-King Jerrod's Childhood.

The realm of Edenia, much like its sister realm, Outworld, was one of the first two realms which the Elder Gods created out of the conscience of 'The One Being'. Over the years, the denizens of this realm came to be known as Edenians, a species very similar to earthrealm humans. However unlike Earthrealmers, the Edenians were said to be the direct descendants of the Gods and therefore possessed higher afinities to magic, have a much longer life expectancy and have a much slower aging process. Most of the inhabitants are relatively peaceful, much like most humans from earthrealm but would no doubt show pride in fighting for the fate of their realm when the time arises. This legacy and prosperity of the Edenians had its roots from the time King Jerrod took over the kingdom of Eden, on the death of his father, King Caspius. A dark, long forgetten era had existed before King Jerrod's reign, the knowledge of which was either lost through the generations or was forcibly removed from memories through sorcery. Only a handful of Edenians still know of these secrets, the last of them being King Jerrod himself, before being killed by Shao Kahn. It has long been foretold that these secrets would help solve the mysteries of the Desert of Tehran, a place only the strongest of the Edenian military ever dared to venture.

During Jerrod's younger days, The kingdom of Eden was ruled and governed by King Caspius, Jerrod's father. King Caspius was a strong ,iron willed ruler, an enforcer of discipline and was strict in his dealings. Although he had the ideal qualities to be a perfect ruler, he lacked the most important ones, which were compassion and empathy. The laws framed during his rule were similar to the ones practised at Seido, the realm of order, though not to the full extent. Inspite of this the denizens of Eden were reasonably happy with his rule but he never was a King of the people. It was his strict reputation and demeanor that earned him rebels and enemies over a period of time.

Being the son of King Caspius was not easy. Jerrod was sent out to train at the military camps around the Forests of Gaiza at the tender age of 20, which in earthrealm terms is no more than the age of 4. Caspius believed that his son's early recruitment into the army was essential for him to be his ideal successor and continue his legacy. Jerrod however was only depressed to say the least. He faced mental and physical torment on a daily basis at the camps and no consideration was given to him, being only a little boy, that too the King's son. At the age where Edenian children still slept on their parents laps, Jerrod was training to become the perfect warrior, an Edenian Knight.

The Edenian Knights were the most elite of Caspius's infantry. Their rigorous training in various weapons and martial arts made them formidable warriors. Their armor and weapons were blessed by the protector God of Edenia, Argus himself, which aided in their fighting greatly. Though only a child, Jerrod endured much more than his little body and mind could handle, only the hope of a better life after his training kept him going. His only solace was during the night times, where the forest folk who dwelled in and around the forests of Gaiza would bring the soldiers food and water as a show of gratitude for protecting them. Although he wasn't allowed to mingle much with the folk, the mere sight of families, happy and cheerful, with kids his age running around and playing games filled his heart with immense joy. He sometimes thought whether he would have enjoyed such a life if he hadnt been sent to the camp. But knowing his father, he knew that it would be far from being possible. Perhaps the closest he would ever get is through watching others enjoy their cherished life. Although Jerrod had been tempted on numerous occasions to play with the children who visited there every night, he with held from it on fear of a punishment on any of the guards finding out.

One night as he sat looking on as usual, a young cheerful girl, a few years younger to him approached him from behind and startled him. Jerrod, shocked and frightened, quickly asked the girl to leave before any of the guards see them. Instead the girl asked

" Why are you sitting here all alone? Why don't you come and play ?"

" I can't, Im part of the military here, they shall punish me severely if they find out. Now leave quickly before someone spots us!"

"Well they are not going to find out" The girl replied and quickly grabbed his hand and ran with Jerrod into the forests.

Although Jerrod was afraid of the guards finding out, something about the girl made him comfortable and he trusted her. This was the first time in his life Jerrod has experienced fun and happiness . The girl revealed her name to be Adelle, and everynight they would escape into the forests and play all night. Over the years the children formed a bond more greater than that of friendship. Adelle helped Jerrod bring out his hidden talents in painting and also helped him cope with the torment he was facing at the camp. Adelle was also a gifted singer and her voice helped heal and soothe Jerrod's mental and phsyical scars. Jerrod's life had been changed drastically ever since he met Adelle. He trained harder and harder everyday taking refuge in his hope of meeting Adelle every night. As they grew into adults, they expressed their love for one another and Jerrod promised that he would return for her and marry her even though it will be against the wishes of his father. Jerrod had become the strongest of the Edenian Knights at the camp and prepared to return home where a royal ceremony awaited him. Unknown to him however, King Caspius had spies at the camps who had eavesdropped on many of Jerrod's and Adelle's conversations. They reported back on their findings to the King. Caspius was deeply enraged and ashamed that his son had a relationship with a forest peasant. He knew that such a news would being shame and dishonour to the royal family, if it was made public.

Caspius approached Delia, the deitess of Edenia and wife of Argus for help. Using her powers of foresight, Delia saw what the future would be and agreed to help Caspius. When Jerrod had finally reached home awaiting a grand ceremony, he was seized by guards and thrown into a secret chamber. There Delia systematically tapped into Jerrod's memories and wiped clean all thoughts, feelings and memories he had of Adelle, using sorcery. When Jerrod awoke all he remembered was his training at the camp and nothing more. Content with the results, Caspius then sent his private band of assasins to hunt down and kill Adelle.

On the day Jerrod had promised to meet Adelle, she waited by their usual spot near the lake. She however was greeted by assasins who chased her into her village. There the assasins tore the village apart in hopes of finding her, but their efforts seemed futile. Adelle knew the forests better than anyone else and thus could keep herself hidden long enough. She felt deeply saddened full of remorse and regret, that her beloved Jerrod had betrayed her. Adelle was on the verge of ending her life, then and there but there was one thing that kept her from doing so. It was the baby that was developing inside her. Knowing that she must survive for the safety of her son, she escaped into city of Eden, where the chances of her getting captured would be grim compared to the forests. There she built up a small settlement for her and her child and concieved her's and Jerrod's son. She named him Terra.

Adelle settled at the eastern villages of Eden with her baby, a place where the king's guards rarely ventured into. There she found some work at a construction camp site and earned just enough to barely support herself and Terra. When times were grim, and there wasnt enough money she often resorted to servicing wealthy land lords, just for the sake of her child. However, the harsh conditions and inhospitable environments at the construction camp caught upto her and Adelle could no longer continue working. Terra, only a young lad then, knew that the fate of him and his mother lied in his hands. He found a job at the armory close to the village and joined in as a blacksmith's apprentice. He toiled hard for several years and he finally rose up the ranks to become a full fledged blacksmith. Still, the wages he received were hardly enough as the expenses back home kept increasing on a daily basis as his mother's condition began to deteriorate and he could only afford the cheapest of medicines. However, since forging weapons and armor was the only trade he knew, he stuck to it in hopes of a miracle in the future which would rid them of their poverty.

And a miracle indeed did occur. Years later, the head general of the troops stationed close to the armory was impressed with Terra's craftmanship and his finesse in crafting the most vicious weapons and durable armor that he gifted him 100 Onyx coins as a show of gratitutde. Happiness could not easily express the flurry of emotions, Terra was going through. He finally had enough money to buy the medicine which would completely cure his mother and also have enough to buy material to build them a new settlement. He made his way home, as fast as he could eagerly anticiating telling his mother the great news.

Unknown to Adelle and Terra however, King Caspius's assasins had not completely abandoned their search for them. They received a tip from the armory of how Terra's mother was named Adelle and having arrived from the Forests of Gaiza, thus exactly matching the profile they were looking for.

As Terra reached home, ready to break the happy news to his mother, 5 black garbed hooded men barged into their home. Terra, thinking they were petty thieves prepared to scare them away, but Adelle knew otherwise. She knew that this day would come. She ordered her son to escape out through the window and run as fast as he could. Terra now shocked and reluctant, refused to part with his mother. Adelle pushed her son out the window out of desperation and charged at assasins with a dagger.

As Terra fell, he gazed up, and witnessed the silhoutte of his mother getting beheaded with her blood splattering across the room. Terra screamed in shock and as his mind was filled with extreme sadness and hate at the same time. Tears rolled down his eyes as his only family he ever had was gone and lost forever. Inspite of getting overwhelmed with emotion, his mother's last words to him still rang loud inside his head. The thirst for revenge caught up to him and he knew he had to survive to ensure that all those responsible should pay dearly. He then lifted himself off the ground and ran as fast as he could.

The assasins had heard his scream and pursued him relentlessly for 16 days. Terra had managed to evade the assasins, while travelling through the city of Eden and the Forests of Gaiza. But he soon stood facing the vast and scorching Deserts of Tehran.

The Deserts of Tehran were well known for its raging storms and harsh climate which some say are being caused by a restless tempest. Not much was known about the desert other than the fact that majority of those who ventured there never returned. But for Terra, there was no turning back. He knew that he would die either way, in the desert or by the hands of the assasins. He preferred the former. Without thinking further, strolled into the desert, in hopes of making it all the way across.

Without the cover of trees or building to hide behind, the assasins easily spotted Terra in the vastness of the desert. However a raging storm hit the desert that night causing them to split and pursue him in different directions. One of them spotted Terra at a distance and before he realized it, Terra found himself face down on the desert sands grabbing his thigh and in immense pain. The assasin had shot an arrow which found its mark on Terra's right thigh. With the prey down, the assasin stood over him and thrusted his blade through Terra's left shoulder.

Terra screamed in agony and pain, his body completely numb and immobolized. But the memory of his mother and his thrist for revenge was still strong inside him and Terra in an act of desperation, instinctively took out the dagger fastened on the assasin's buckle and slit his throat, where the armor was weak. The knowledge Terra had gained working as a blacksmith helped in the most crucial of times. He knew better than anyone else, the flaws of the armor he himself designed. The assasin fell, choking and gargling on the blood spilling out of his neck and eventually succumbed to death. Terra broke off the arrow lodged in his thigh and began searching for anything that would help him survive the desert. He then found a scroll inside the assasin's pocket and on reading, realized that it was a written order from the King Caspius, to kill his mother. Terra now knew the one who was responsible. He removed his blood stained clothes and used the ones of the assasin to cover himself, so that he could bait the others into thinking he was dead. He then buried assasins body before resuming on his journey across the desert, dragging his heavily injured leg as he walked on. The other assasins eventually gave up the chase on finding Terra's blood stained shirt and having believed their comrade to have died from the storm the previous night, returned back to the City of Eden.

Terra treaded forward for days, with no water nor food, almost at the brink of death, the desert winds draining away all the moisture he had in his body. His injury in his leg and his shoulder started getting worse and soon he found himself unable to proceed any further. But the memory of his beloved mother and his thrist for revenge was still strong and he kept going, taking refuge in his mother's memories. However, his mind too started failing him. Exhausted and unable to walk he decided to crawl all the way, as much as he could before he succumbed to death. As he crawled on, he felt something hard on his hands, a feeling he had not felt for days, touching only the loose desert sand. As the harsh winds cleared he saw that he had infact at the foot of a large artifact. Terra mustered the remaining strength he had left and started inspecting the artifact carefully. He deduced that it was a temple of some sort but not of Argus nor Delia. Strange markings of a bull like animal were carved onto its walls. The artifact also did not have any doors through which Terra could enter. However he spotted a small hole at one of the sides of the wall and dug the desert sand out and entered the artifact. As soon as he entered, everything went silent. The howling of the desert winds no longer rang through his ears and he felt some sort of serenity at this place. The interiors of the artifact was devoid of any decorations and not extravagant like the temples of Argus. "Perhaps it was not a temple" Terra thought and began exploring further inside. As he reached the centre, his eyes widened with amazement. Lying before him in a glass case was the most finely crafted battle axe he had ever seen. He almost instantly forgot about his injuries and stared in awe at the excellent piece of craftmanship. The battle axe was heavily decorated contained the same bull like symbol in the middle, which he had seen outside. Terra broke off the glass case and placed his hand on the axe.

As soon as Terra touched the axe the entire place began to tremble as if it had been hit by a massive earthquake. The desert sands rushed into the artifact through tiny openings in the walls, and the howling of the desert winds returned. The ground started erupting and breaking away into chunks of rocks and flew all around the room along with the sand. Terra, not knowing what had happened tried to escape out but he felt that there was a powerful force binding his hand onto the axe. Suddenly the sand and rocks that were flying around, started swirling in a whirlwind like formation and materialized into a giant celestial being.

"I am Mahrus, the elemental God of earth, you have freed me from my centuries of imprisonment, mortal. For that, you shall be favorably rewarded and blessed." the entity shouted, his voice echoing through the halls.

Wow, Jinko. That's great, and I'm certianly imressed. Your background of Terra came out great, and I also like the idea of freeing the Earth god. Definitely better than my original backstory. I'm looking forward to part 2, so keep up the good work!

Oh man talk about epic.
Thanks man! We writers got to help each other out like true broskis!:)

Thanks man! Frankly if I hadn't read your concept and story for Terra I would have never thought of this background for him, though it seems quite different from your version. I would have come up with something quite lacklustre outerwise lol. :p So major props to you my friend! :)

Flying Jinko what was it you wanted me to read? I forgot :\
Haha, I was referring to this story mate. You can navigate easier from the first page since I uploaded all quicklinks there. I had also written a prequel to this which is more like a story script for the next Mortal Kombat game than fiction. You can read it here.

Will do. I scrapped my Skarlett story, and redoing it from a different angle. I got to like chapter 5 and didn't like where it was going. I do this A LOT. and I get hated on A LOT. So that's why I refuse to post stories until they are done. That way no one can send me hate-mail because I cancel a story they just happened to be into. I write for myself, not for my fans. I just put it out there incase someone else is interested.

Millennia ago,Shinnok, the elder God who defected, waged a war on Raiden and the other Elder Gods for conquering Earthrealm. Mahrus, the elemental God of Earth fought alongside Raiden. However during the course of the battle, Shinnok defeated him and trapped his essence into Mahrus's axe and hid it away deep within the deserts of Edenia where it could not be found. Only the touch of a mortal could free Mahrus from his imprisonment.

Terra was the mortal who freed Mahrus from his imprisonment. Mahrus healed Terra and blessed him with the elemental powers of Earth and sand. He then proceeded to teach him the ancient fighting arts known only to the Gods and taught him the ways to master the use of the battle axe. Terra trained hard for more than 400 years mastering his new found powers. He soon reached the level of discipline and enlightenment where he became one with the desert and earth around him and could control them just by mere thought, much like his mentor, Mahrus. Mahrus soon was beckoned by Raiden, who needed help at Earthrealm for protecting Shinnok's amulet along with the other elemental Gods. Before departing, he gifted Terra his legendary battle axe as a show of gratitude for freeing him.

With his training done, Terra had all that he needed to exact revenge on King Caspius. Although, even with his God like powers and battle axe, he knew that a direct assault on the Palace of Eden would be foolish. He needed to come up with a foolproof plan to get as close to the King as possible. He then wrapped his face and axe so as to hide his identity and made his way towards the City of Eden.

(I feel this is a perfect look for Terra, as he leaves the Temple of Mahrus towards the city of Eden.)

On reaching the city, Terra travelled from village to village trying to gather as much as news to could about the current affairs and the palace. He hid from the officials and guards during the day and travelled only at night.

One night, as Terra prepared to leave the village he was at, he witnessed two corrupt guards mercilessly beating a young lady. This sight deeply enraged Terra and dashed forward and knocked both the guards out with a single strike each. He threw their bodies at the outskirts of the village and tended to the lady's wounds. She explained that the guards came to collect the taxes imposed by King Caspius, which was unreasonably high and something which the poor and downtrodden could not afford to pay. This plight reminded him of his childhood days with his mother. The lady, revealing her name to be Selene, gave Terra shelter at her home. As days passed, they both became closer and once Selene made sure Terra could be trusted , she revealed to him that she was part of a secret organisation comprised of people such as herself, who have been wronged by the acts of the king. She took Terra to the camp which was located deep withing the Hyperon Peaks and introduced him to the other members of the organisation. Terra learned that the organisation was lead by diplomats who formed part of King Caspius's advisory council and wished him dead as well. Terra making use of this oppurtuniy exhibited a little of his powers and convinced the others that he was truly an unparralled fighter.

Fortunately days later, the annual Knights tournament was scheduled to be held where the final victor would earn the right to lead the Edenian Knights, the most elite of the Edenian Infantry. The traitorous diplomats used their influence and enrolled Terra into the tournament.
Terra took part and easily emerged as the final victor, using only his martial arts techniques, careful not to use any of his powers. He was also careful to keep his face partially covered at all times. King Caspius was impressed and ordered a royal ceremony to knight the young warrior, the greatest he had seen in a long time. Terra had finally got the oppurtunity he needed and he knew that this would be closest he could ever get to Caspius. During the ceremony, the king asked him to reveal his face and state his name, as Terra slowly unwrapped the cloth covering his face, he replied ," My name is Terra and I am the son of Adelle." King Caspius horrified on learning who the warrior was, ordered all the guards present to attack. Terra was more than ready, he drew out his great axe, and swirled it around his enemies each blow slicing the unfortunate victims, cleanly in half and causing the surrounding area to tremble, with massive earth balls flying around and impacting enemies. All the spectators ran for their lives. Caspius too tried to escape but Terra materialized before him in a flurry of rocks and delivered a massive kick to the king's chest sending him flying across the hall.

He then slowly advanced towards King Caspius who was trembling in fright."Please......spare me......." the king said in a feeble, trembling tone as Terra approached him . "Only if you had spared my mother" Terra replied. He then summoned rocks which pinned Caspius's limbs to the ground and slowly started stretching it in four directions. Caspius screamed in agony and pain as his limbs were stretched and finally separated from his body. Terra then swiftly thrusted his axe onto the king's skull spltting it cleanly in half finally killing him. He caused a massive earthquake in the surrounding area, causing the bulding to crumble down before he departed. Terra then quickly met up with Selene and the other members of the organisation and together they escaped to the Deserts of Tehrah, away from the guards who had discovered their secret hideout.

During this time, Jerrod, son of Caspius was training with Argus at the heavens. Word of his father's murder soon reached his ears and he quickly made his way back to the city of Eden. He was immediately crowned new king and faced immense pressure from the royal advisors council regarding the security of Edenia. He knew his father had earned enemies by resorting to ruthless ways. But he had no idea that Terra was infact his own son since those memories were wiped by Delia. Terra along with the traitors proceeded to form a city around the Temple of Mahrus and named it the 'City of Esra'. Over the years the city's population grew and they constantly waged war on the City of Eden now ruled by King Jerrod. These wars continued on for centuries untill King Jerrod decided to put an end to this conflict once and for all. He forsake his own life by challenging Terra, the leader of the people at Esra to a duel to death, the victor of which will earn the right to the claim the opposing territory.

Terra had answered the call. When Terra was young, he did enquire many a time who is father was but seeing his mother getting depressed and sad, each time he asked, he refrained from asking her further. Thus both Jerrod and Terra never knew that they were in fact father and son.

A large collesium was constructed at the ruins of Edenia, for the duel. Soon Terra and Jerrod stood face to face within the walls of the collesium with thousands of spectators eagerly awaiting the fate of their world.

Terra unwrapped the bands covering his battle axe and raised it high above him and was greeted by an immediate cheer from the those from the City of Esra among the spectators. His legendary battle axe and his God like powers of Earth and sand manipulation were the weapons he bought to the fight. King Jerrod, removed the scabbard covering the blade of his Crescent-Bladed Halberd gifted to him by Argus during his training with him. His Halberd and his power over manipulating destructive red energies were the weapons he bought to fight Terra. The two warriors walked facing each other, in a circular motion not taking their eyes off one another, patiently waiting for the gong to be struck. As soon as the gong struck, Jerrod, the more experienced of both the fighters leaped forward in three giant steps and thrusted his spear towards Terra aiming for his heart. Terra retaliated by swirling his axe up and catching Jerrod's spear between the crevises of his axe and locking it in place. He then pulled the locked weapons causing Jerrod to fly towards him. However Jerrod capitalized on the oppurtunity and drove his left knee to Terra's chest as he closed in. Just as Terra felt Jerrod's knee jab, he drove his palm onto Jerrod's right shoulder, the impact of both their attacks sending both staggering back in opposite directions. The warriors quickly shook off the attack and charged again, the clanking of their weapons echoing through the collesium as they delivered their strikes. Soon they began using their powers as well to aid them further in battle, however both the warriors seemed equally matched. The duel went on continuously for 7 days, with neither of the warriors willing to back down. The Fate of his whole kingdom rested on his hands and King Jerrod knew he could not give up yet for the sake of his people. Terra too felt the pressure as the denizens of the City of Esra too depended upon him for survival. However as the battle continued on for a few more days, King Jerrod, the older of the two kombatants started showing signs of fatigue. Terra, himself battle worn and ready to collapse saw the oppurtunity and took the risk of lowering his defences and went for the killing blow.

Just as he was about to land the killing blow an apparation of his mother flashed before him. Suddenly, the cheering of the crowds quietened down and all he saw now was his mother, in good health and beautiful standing in an aura of white light unlike how she was at the time of her death. She spoke to him and told him that King Jerrod was his father and that his father should live to ensure the safety of all the realms in the universe. As quickly as it came, the apparation instantly faded away leaving Terra shocked and bewildered and as he diverted his blow away from Jerrod and onto the ground. Jerrod made use of this pause and mustered all the strength he had left and thrusted his halberd towards Terra, which found its mark right at the middle of Terra's abdomen and slicing out from his back. Terra dropped his axe and staggered back trying contemplate what his mother had said just before he could meet his inevitable death. Although Jerrod finally earned his revenge and won the duel, he was a man of compassion. He took Terra's axe and laid it on Terra's dying hands and said
,"You fought bravely warrior, it was an honour."

Terra closed his eyes and replied, "It is good to have known you...............father......" and with those words, Terra soul departed his body and made its way towards the heavens, where his beloved mother awaited him.The legend of Terra had come to an end.

The Axe of Mahrus.

I drew this with refrence to a pic I found on google. Quite decorated compared to traditional abattle axe, but I think it suits Terra perfectly.

Jerrod's Halberd.
