Ono San of Capcom jealous of MK's story mode

The thing that attracted me to Mortal Kombat was the fact that it was the first arcade machine I went up to in the arcade at the time lol. I just randomly rented the game when it was brought out on home systems and fell in love with it.

If Mortal Kombat didn't have the story it does now, I'd probably have little interest in it and play it casually.

I love MK for its story.
I loved Deception, I loved Deadly Alliance, Armageddon sucked :)
The gameplay was horrible, but just the satisfaction of getting all of the lore in the game was reason enough for me to keep on trucking.

I wasn't drawn to MK because of violence, and I'm not the minority in that decision, I'm the only one lol.
I was drawn because of its interesting characters.
You could have put SF 3 and MK 3 in front me as a kid and I'd go right for the game with the robots and Centaurs.
i only got into MK on the recent release and as soon as i read cybernetic ninja while looking it up i knew i was going to get it :P

I want to say to the people who said story isn't important, I knew and told you guys story is important as gameplay! The person guy who works for one of the greatest fighting games in the world is jealous of the story of Mortal Kombat. And now look at that? You guys were the ones who said story isn't important! You guys are now proven WRONG. By the way it sounds like to me, Capcom now wants to do a story mode like Mortal Kombat. Next thing you know, other fighting games would want to have a story mode like Mortal Kombat. Like I said before, Mortal Kombat needs to have a GREAT story.

Like bbblp said, the blood and fatatlities didn't get me into MK, the story is what got me into MK. I turned around and saw someone who yellls like Bruce Lee and someone who throws ice. Now those two characters are my mains in almost every MK game.

I love every story MK gives us and I am soooo happy MK's story is finally getting known. If it wasn't for the story, I wouldn't be enjoying MK4-MKvsDC.

And like bbblp said, if I were a little kid right now and you put Street Fighter 3 and UMK3 infront of me, bes' believe I'll pick UMK3.

I'm sorry but all you who say a story isn't needed in a fighting game need to speak for yourselves. Personally, I think it adds to the depth and longevity of a fighter when it has a good story. SF would be SF without its "cannon" storyline.

Also it adds for less confusion. People would actually ***** less about shotos if they new that that's basically what the 70 percent of cannon SF is based about. Same thing with MK. The revamp in story mode is going to bring a lot more life into this game than it would have if the story mode was poorly done. I mean its still a awesome game but its story mode stole the show the first few weeks after release.

I'm glad they're going to implement a story mode. Even though it will only be in SFxTekken I hope it is something that they will eventually incorporate into the main SF line. Maybe for the next SF4 dlc [they're already hinting at one beyond ae]
