Oh my gosh!!!!!! I want to know what's gonna happen next in the story>:l.

So many questions in my head. Is Onaga gonna happen since Reptile has no reason to work for Nitara? Is the Deadly Alliance be reunited? If so, how when Shang Tsung is dead? What the hell does Shinnok think of Quan Chi having the amulet? What the do those tattos on Quan Chi mean since they aren't the same ones? Whos gonna help Earthrealm and Outworld since our heroes are dead? Bo' Rai' Cho?
 
I imagine Onaga will not come back. Hopefully Raiden intercepts Reptile on his way to the Lava Shrine.

Most likely there will be a new "Deadly Alliance". Consisting of Quan Chi and Shinnok.

Perhaps those tattoos are a way of Shinnok controlling Quan Chi, would be a nice twist :)

I imagine Fujin will train Shujinko and Kai, the last of Earth's major warriors. While Raiden works with Sonya and Johnny.

I'm pretty sure Bo Rai Cho will make a (hopefully) less comical appearance.
 
I think Sindel and Shang Tsung's souls split when she died. Also I think Shujinko and Bo' Rai Cho have to make an appearence. And Reptile does have a reason to work for Nitara because Shao Kahn is dead.
 
I hope Nitara doesn't come back at all. And it is interesting to note that when Quan Chi revealed to Raiden that he was in possession of the souls of the fallen warriors, Sindel was one of those souls and not Shang Tsung. This to me foreshadows that if/when Sindel is relieved of her spell to serve Quan Chi, she will be a force for good instead of a servant for Shao Kahn.

I believe that both Sektor and Cyrax have canonical arcade endings, since they are one of the few that don't contradict with the main storyline, and they don't mention Shao Kahn being dead or defeated by them.

I strongly believe the Elder Sub-Zero will make a return to fill in the missing spot of the human Sub-Zero, and that the soulnado Nightwolf kicked him in didn't destroy Noob Saibot, but seperated his soul from Sub-Zero's.

Ermac is now a force for good now with Shao Kahn dead. His story in MK10 could focus on him teaming up with the Earthrealm warriors to free the Edenians (and the Earthrealm warriors) of their enslavement. Rain and Tanya will probably be major villains and will be involved in Ermac's story.

Sonya's ending is almost certainly canon, and so is Raiden's ending. Johnny Cage and Scorpion will likely have semi-canonical endings, with the former defeating Shinnok while the latter kills Quan Chi at the end of the story.

Kenshi's role is a wildcard to me, so I need to see his bio and ending when he becomes DLC so that I can get an idea of his possible role in the Story Mode of MK1O.

Exactly. Their souls split, and now he's back in Outworld being awesome.
 
But where would Shang Tsung's soul go to since Shao Kahn's soul is no longer around? Would he work alone or be dead? Or would he be in the Netherrealm? If he does kome back in the Nethrrealm, I think him Quan Chi are gonna team up on the low and kome out after Shinnok's invasion fails.

I'm thinking the same thing too about Sektor and Cyrax. Maybe Sub-Zero komes back to Lin Kuei and takes over the clan once again? Hopefully, Sub-Zero and Scorpion find out Quan Chi was the one who kaused all the problems and go after Quan Chi. This helps out earthrealm win the invasion of Shinnok.

If you think ESZ goes back to normal, maybe CSZ kould turn into the new Noob Saibot.

This may sound krazy but I think Johnny having those big powerful powers are gonna help lead the last battle of Armegddon again. It might be a good idea of a reboot.

@bbblp, wouldn't the amulet be much stronger than the tattos? That wouldn't make any sense. Some markings that are much powerful than something apart of the kamidugos.

You said Onaga may not kome back, this means Shujinko may not kome back either. Shujinko decided to join the party when he saw he was working for a greater evil so he had to take matters into his own hands. How would he kome in out of nowhere? Where is he at anyways if Onaga doesn't kome in? The whole reason of Shujinko being in Mortal Kombat was because of Onaga tricking him. He wouldn't have a reason into being trained and learning to fight really quickly. I do believe Onaga will kome back but I just don't know how he would make his return.

EDIT: It still borthers me that there is no way Liu Kang kan be brought back to life. He's life was taken away from Quan Chi so there is no way he kan kome back. I just wish Raiden didn't kill Liu Kang"/.

Sektor doesn't listen and takes the amulet anyway, this will hold consequences for him no doubt :(
If they do plan to solve the Sub-Zero story, I say either:

A. Have Noob become purified when he hit the soulnado, have Saibot become the Noob character.

B. Have Sub-Zero's father come into play, he is a FULL cyromancer, would be interesting to see how his ice moves look.
He could also have a grudge against the Lin Kuei for taking his sons.

I hope Johnny doesn't have the powers in his ending, he looked more Neo-y and less of a funny guy.

Maybe Quan Chi has the amulet, which makes him powerful, but has the tattoos that Shinnok put on him to control him.
That is why he doesn't care he has the amulet, he will just take it when he is able to come to Earthrealm.

Shujinko is not a normal man. Raiden will hopefully see his and Kai's potential and recruit them.
If not Raiden then Fujin.

Ed Boon said fan favorites will come back. Maybe that means Liu, maybe it doesn't.
 
Don't you guys get it? MK9 was combining and retelling the first 3 MK games. So MK10 will be combining and retelling MK4-6(Deception).

So you guys can expect Johnny Cage to be the leading guy in the fray. Shinnok will be the end boss or sub-end boss (If Onaga appears). And whatever happened in between MK4 - Deception, may have a retelling of it or not. But since I never played MK4 or Deception, I hope I get surprised with what the creative minds of NRS have up their sleeves for story mode in MK10.

Suggestions: Possible Co-Op story mode? (Shaolin Monks cameo?)
 
I don't think a good Shang Tsung kan happen. He has to eat off souls so he kan stay alive. He might stay somewhere hidden till it's a good time to kome in. Say, maybe, after the invasion? Deadly Alliance?

This may sound krazy but what if in the Deadly Alliance saga, if Quan Chi makes a soulnado to the heavens and Scorpion gets thrown in there again, Scorpion and Noob Saibot kome back down and seek revenge on Quan Chi? Would that be a good idea? Sounds possible to me. And Sub-Zero kan become back to his normal state and go back to the Lin Kuei and to make ALL the members back into being a human. He has his fight with Sektor and Sektor won't be able to take the power so he Sub-Zero takes advantage of it and becomes the new grandmaster of the Liu Kuei.

And that sure wouldn't be right. Let us hope that ending is non-canon.

But wouldn't that piss Quan Chi the **** off and find something to break the spell? Then again, that would be a good way for Quan Chi to betray Shinnok and him to steal the amulet again.

What really was borthering me in story mode was that Raiden wasn't tripping about Quan Chi having the Amulet. That got me wondering why he doesn't give a **** anymore. He use to always trip about the amulet but now it's not like he doesn't kare anymore. Have you notice that?

His bio in Armageddon suggests that this agreement is binding, even beyond death. I do think a good Shang Tsung would be awesome, though. This brings up another question: since Shang Tsung is dead and Kenshi wishes to slay him to avenge the souls Tsung consumed, what direction will they take with Kenshi now?

I don't know if Sektor will suffer any consequences from taking the Dragon Medallion. The consequence the Grand Master was referring to is that the Dragon Medallion contains the souls of all the previous grandmaster who were slain. The more souls contained in the Medallion, the more powerful the Medallion becomes and ultimately the person wearing the Medallion (the Medallion combines the powers of the slain grandmasters and the wearer's own). Sektor is a soulless cyborg, so I'm not sure he will be affected by that if/when he is slain.

Eh, can't really see Noob good in any situation. I'm still thinking the Soulnado will split Bi-Han and Noob, or create a new entity, as seen in Noob's Armageddon ending.

I like this idea, but isn't Sub-Zero's father dead? I only say this because they abducted Kuai Liang and Bi-Han as children, and Sub-Zero's ending said that "the Lin Kuei were ultimately responsible for the deaths of both Sub-Zero's and Scorpion's families."

I hope Johnny doesn't have the powers in his ending, he looked more Neo-y and less of a funny guy.

It's a technique that I use when posting on other forums. What I did is put my responses inside the quote, and put what I said in bold so that you would know that stuff is mine.

You guys did see Boons E3 interview right? the one where they were showing off Skarlet's specials & fatalities? he said dont think you have seen the last of your favorite characters.Most likely just about everyone will be brought back.We shall see ;)

Although if Liu Kang was a corrupt god and Shang killed him I'd hug my TV out of happiness :proud:
 
MK9 honestly made me dislike Liu Kang. I never realized what a selfish prick he is until I saw his ending. I'm glad Raiden fried his ass even though it wasn't intentional.

Now I really hope Shujinko or Kai take Liu Kang's spot as the main protagonist.
