I just listened to De-Loused In The Comatorium and I now have to change my last answer and say its a tie, between Modest Mouse and The Mars Volta. Both are simply amazing bands. Everyone needs to look into MM's early work and you'll discover some of the most powerful shit around, oh man, just amazing. TMV too, that album changed my life the first time I heard it. I didn't even need to hear it twice, I just knew, this album is going to change the way I listen to music.

I like NO DOUBT...yea I know, im going to get insulted...
Anyways, Raidenfighter I didn't know you liked Blondie. I like them too.
I didn't like No Doubt really ever, but I didn't hate them anything. But honestly, I think Gwen Stefani is kind of making an ass of herself with that solo album. I heard a couple track, eh, watch out eardrums, you're about to raped by Gwen Stefani's terrible attempt at an album.

Ok, thats you're opinion. But, just to let you know this side-project (she calls it side-project cuz she isn't going solo in her mind, she's doing a little side project, and then she's going back with No Doubt) is actually less of Gwen Stefani as she's ever been before. She explains that all the producers she worked with such as: Nelly Hooper, Ferrel, Linda Perry, Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Andre 3000, William orbit...ect....they all worked with Gwen on her album and she actually let them into her world, and she let them come up with ideas for the album. Gwen worked along with them and tried to stay away from as much No Doubt styled music as possible. Instead, she wanted to create a 1980's dance album with retro pop, funk, and New Wave along with a mix of Hip-hop beats and R&B elements. Most of the album wasn't gwen's idea, but that doesn't mean she never had any effert in doing it. She wrote most of the songs, and she sang the vocals, and she came up with ideas as well that fit into there catagory of style. Im happy for what she's doing right now. This is giving her a chance to branch out, expand and see what she's capable of. After this, she's going back with No Doubt once again to create a more "Rock" album like in the past, instead of Pop.Originally Posted by McShorty

I know you weren't questioning her contributions, I was just letting you know what she's up to, and why she was doing the side project thats all.
In my opinion, I think the songs are wonderful and they are all very hip and dance.
Anyways, what songs have you listened to from her album? Just wondering.
The bad ones, apparently. Which means, all of them.Originally Posted by -theCLONE-

I ended up listening to it because I couldn't find my Guns 'N' Roses, which was deleted by the bullcrap, and yet I somehow figured would be next, right after this song, or the next one. UGH.

I know you're not insulting me. That's you're opinion and im find with it. I just like her album very much, and I enjoy listening to it. Although she is finally doing Pop music, im glad she's doing something different and more unique. Unlike the usual bubblegum Pop some artists do now a days, she's doing 1980's retro pop/funk dance music similair to Madonna, Kylie Minoque, Lisa Lisa Cult Jam...and she's doing New Wave like Blondie.
