Myself and OneHanded Terror will be running this, I know there is already a thread, but this is the official questions/answer one, please post any questions you may have

I was ready to register and book a plane ticket until I noticed you're being forced to use the PDP stick. That's a lot of money to travel and play on something I'm not comfortable with. That is really something PDP should post on the frontpage of their site and not have it hidden on the rules page. I would have been angry if I found out about it after arriving in Vegas. Revelations is coming up soon also... hhhmmm

And btw, we had quite a few MKII matches on snes Xband. Maybe you remember Groovy Blue, or Kidd Thunder... not sure what other names I played under.

Edit: Nevermind, I'm a dumbass. They have it posted right on the frontpage that only the PDP stick will be used. Still don't like it!

Merged this thread with the existing one. Learn to search next time, please.

Parts and layout matter also. I'm fine playing on sticks as I have been my entire life.

Having to re-adjust to different button layout is not that hard, my motions will still be accurate. Relocating my fingers is not a steep learning curve.

You realize the tournament is being held by PDP, the company that made the official fight stick bundled with the game right? Its a promotional event for the company and the game. Of course they will only allow you to use their stick, its the whole point of holding the tournament.

Re: Mortal Kombat 9 PDP Tournament

Registration closes soon, so who is signed up so far?

I am! :)

Just finished a little while ago. I'm pretty freaking nervous. This is my first big event. Great players, Sponsors, huge cash prizes. I'm overwhelmed :l

DCP, if you wish, you can adopt the headphone style to kill nervousness. A lot of tournament players do this. Bring some headphones and an ipod and play loud music during your match.
