What is with Lui Kang

Why would you kill off kang and bring in Shujinko to take his place and give Shujinko moves from assorted characters that seems like they ran out of ideas to me. I myself feel no character should have other characters moves thats cheap... AM I WRONG?!?!? haha

well he did train with everyone in the game so he would know all their secrets. I kind of look at him as the master of all the characters. Honestly he really isnt anything special.....he could have been done without....him and cobra...
