GameSpot just posted Warner Bros's first official Mortal Kombat (2011) TV commercial. It includes the first time seeing the older Shang Tsung in-battle as well as a new Reptile theme from the Mortal Kombat: Songs Inspired By Warriors album. You can see it embedded below:

Then there is also this GameStop TV spot that started making the rounds this morning to promote gamers to pre-order the game from them. This is their second promotional video for the game, the first was the hilarious Gamestop WE KARE video.

Since the game is due out soon, I have a feeling these wont be the last of the ads we'll be seeing for the game. Thanks to Kilmansky for the heads up on the new commercial.

Anyone noticed that, when Dan Forden said "Toasty", the video showed a woman silhouete in shadows ? Maybe Skarlet ? and maybe Toasty is the trick to make her appear in the game ?

Wow! they're not including Jax's big foot fatality, but insead he kicks the oponent's head off. Kool!

love the toasty part and the reptile theme in the gamestop commercial ^^ Soooo lookin forward to this game!

....Sigh.....

Anyway. That was AMAZING. Especially the music. Maybe Scorpion's theme?

An old Shang Tsung looks great. He could have been a little scarier, though. He was terrifying in MK1.

Notice how the Gamestop Pre-Order bonus commercial said UNLOCK the Skin and Fatality. This means its all gonna be on the disc for sure.

How about if the elderly Shang Tsung is just a win pose he turns old? but hope its an alternative costume..

That's way Jax is going to be my star player can't wait to kick fools heads off. Old shang was moving like a young man from the quick glimpse I saw. This game is going to be sweet.

Is it wrong that the part of these commercials that made me the happiest was finally hearing Reptile's Theme in higher quality? That's the greatest song ever, no joke.
