I was playing LBP2 recently. It actually got me wondering about all the customizable features that could be included in MK9, and I thought: wouldn't it be great if you could kreate your own tower?
Make your own battle plan of kombatants, select their costumes, and decide who gets to be bosses. An option to scale the difficulty of each kombatant manually or just let the game automatically set it. Decide who gets to be hidden kombatants and the conditions for fighting them, or let the game randomly select parameters itself.
Select what stages to fight on, their time of day, their order, even music - select either tracks from the game, or import your own. Also import your own background to place behind the tower, and write your own character endings on a Classic MK style template; with access to a library of MK9 images to use for those endings.
Insert Test Your Might or others of the same kind, even slot in your own challenges. If you want to make something more than a standard arcade tower, then go and make a challenge tower. With the option of deciding all the parameters for the challenges you want (as opposed to randomized). Up to whatever high number of tower slots that you probably won't use up.
Now the best part: share it online. Have access to an entire MK community's worth of insane towers. They could range from the simplest of designs such as Classic MK1/MK2, or MK2 Challenger Hack style, to a tall and ridiculously complex challenge tower. Also, you could make up your own trophies/achievements to accompany the tower. Even rewards, like Reputation bonuses for instance.
Just think of all the possibilities. Maybe something like that is too much for a fighting game, and something not many fans would embrace, but I would definitely welcome it with open arms.
So, who likes the idea? Who doesn't? Would like feedback!
