Stryker and Shao Kahn Fatality Revealed

Styker, Jade, ShaoKahn, Baraka, Kabal, QuanChi Fatalities Revealed!!!

I feel terrible for Australians, but it did bring us these delicious leaks.

- Stryker tasers his opponents and then explicitly shoots their head off with his gun. Blood and gore is noted.

- Shao Khan uses his hands to explicitly rip an opponent’s body vertically in two

- Jade explicitly kicks an opponent into the air and plants her fighting stick into the ground. The opponent falls backwards onto the stick and is explicitly impaled, with the stick protruding from their chest. Jade then explicitly tears her opponent's head off, with bloodspray noted, and explicitly plants it on the stick.

- Quan Chi explicitly rips his opponent's leg off, accompanied by copious bloodspray. As they lie on the ground, he explicitly beats them with the severed leg for a prolonged period of time.

-Kabal uses long hooks to explicitly pull out an opponent's intestines before explicitly impaling the opponent on two spikes.

- Baraka explicitly lodges a blade (attached to his wrists) in an opponent's stomach and hoists them above his head. He spins them round and explicitly decapitates and dismembers them, accompanied by copious bloodspray.

Absolutely Brilliant. This all sounds amazing.

It also goes on to leak some pretty amazing information about the number of fatalities characters will attain.

Initially, the Move List Within the game includes one finishing move per character, although a player is able to unlock up to four per character. The Board notes that fatalities cannot be performed in Story mode and are unlikely to be performed frequently during gameplay; however, it is also noted that there are more than 60 fatalities available and they are an important component of the game.

Outstanding.
Lets also remember that in the audio leak it said that there was files of "Brutalities". Since the audio leak hasn't done us wrong yet, I think it's safe to say those are part of this possible 4 per character.

It's also seeming more and more that Shao Kahn will indeed be a playable character. It's possible he still might not be. But all this info is certainly leaning toward him at least being playable one way or another(whether he's available online/overpowered or not). Remember he is on the mk-widget too alongside very obvious playable characters too.

Let's not forget the translation we had from the Italian magazine that Ed Boon apparently said:

For me it will be awesome if everybody will find that Scorpion and Sub-Zero worked together in past, just like Jax and Sonya did." said Ed Boon about that possibility to create some Tag Team moves "These are the classic couples that maybe hardcore fans will have fun to discover. We will put inside some special moves when Raiden will be with Shao Kahn or Liu Kang... these are the things we would like players will discover during the game

The report also goes on to state that the Story Mode will be around 15 HOURS OF GAMEPLAY!!!
Beyond ridiculous. Even if we don't get an update today, this is pretty hot news.

I hate the fact Shao Kahn is playable. Bosses should NEVER be playable. You already know people are gonna pick this guy online and spam the cheapest moves. It's gonna be hella annoying. I can already forsee it happening. Either way, nice find.

I said this in the other thread but it was kind off-topic so I'll say it here:

"To go back to the spoilers article real quick. It said there are 4 fatalities per character and over 60 total (which I assume means less than 70). Does that mean there are only between 15 - 17 characters?"

When it says 4 finishing move I think it means maybe 2 fatalities, 1 brutality and maybe another ality. It could also be like 3 fatalities and 1 brutality, thats my guess.

No, there'll be at least 26 playable characters.

What it likely means is that 1 to 2 of those fatalities (depending on if the same moveset can be used for both the Pit and Dead Pool) are stage fatalities. So...

Fatality 1 - Character fatality 1
Fatality 2 - Character fatality 2
Fatality 3 - Character fatality 3 or The Pit Fatality
Fatality 4 - Dead Pool Fatality or generic stage fatality.

I think the key words are "up to four per character", meaning some might have four and some may have less. Maybe?

I'm actually really dissapointed if Shao Kahn is playable. Semi-excited, but not slightly more dissapointed. You don't have to worry about him being cheap at least though, dude. NRS's main goal is to make a balanced game with even more balanced and great online-playability. I doubt they'd do something stupid and put a broken character playable at all times.

Well that's already an invalid question due to the number of characters already revealed.

Exactly.

That makes sense. But I guess we'll have to see.

Well bro, the way I see it either they make him just another character so he isn't cheap online and ruin the whole intimidation factor Shao Kahn has always had. Or they make him a beast like he is supposed to be, and his moves are kinda broken compares to say Stryker. It'd be kind of dumb if they had two versions of him. One for story/arcade, and one for online.

Shao Kahn was actually pretty balanced in Mk VS. DC. He did not seem cheap at all. I am pretty sure they are talking about 2 fatalites per character with the possibility of a 3rd fatality, then DLC fatalities.

There will be more stage fatalities than two. We already know the Pit, the Dead Pool, the Subway have one each. Boon hinted at the Living Forest having one, and the Bell Tower is useless without its iconic plunge of death.

I'm thinking UP TO four fatalities per character. Some, like Scorpion and Co., will have more than the likes of Quan Chi or Stryker.

Loving the Stryker fatality. I'll be honest and some may quarrel with me on this, but I love the idea of a simple "shoot him in the head" fatality. There is something so simple and poetic about it; clashes hard with Kahn's, haha.

Hmm..It seems more likely with each day that Kahn will be playable after all. But even as a huge fan, I would rather want an unplayable, overpowered and badass boss, rather than boring MK Vs DC Kahn. But I don't wanna judge anything yet... His fatality seems simple, yet very badass. I hope he will taunt his opponent while performing it.

Stryker's fatality seems like a mix of his MK3 and MK Vs DC headshot fatality. Sounds unique if you ask me.

Wow this game surprises me more and more. Honestly I'm starting to love their secretive promotional campaign because shit like this that we find out bit by bit surprises and excites you!
