Possibly Motaro Thread.

I figure I'll just separate this from the leak thread because its getting lost in its 6 pages. Basically, some of us think we can see something that resembles Motaro in the art book from the US Bookends video just released.

What do you all think and what are your impressions on the possibilities of Motaro?

my thaught is that - if Lupinko is right and Kintaro's really in as a boss, than i assume that chances for Motaro to be there as well is like increased 10 times...99.9 that he also will be in this game...all these arts are even more evidences towards his inclusion...
 
lol, good spotting bro! entirely possible. i heard this idea for arcade mode in that choose your destiny, you could choose mk1, mk2, mk3 enemies, etc.

If NRS managed to build Motaro's body so that its playable, fatality standable, throw standable and x-ray standable then i am most impressed *claps hands* out of Sheeva, Goro, Kintaro and Motaro it was Motaro that i passed off as gone because of the difficulties it would take to build him for this game.

I would be very impressed (and pleased) if he makes the game, even if hes unplayable or just a boss you can't do fatalities, throws and x-rays on i would still be pleased to see a 4 legged Motaro.

If he is in this game, and I hope to god he is... I really would rather him and every other boss for that matter, not be playable. It takes away a certain scare factor from them. Besides I really don't think NRS plans to have the bosses playable. Especially someone like motaro.
 
Some guy on youtube claims that it is not Motaro, as the book says that it is Shao Kahn's personal pet, something called Tedora? How he can read that I don't know... even in high definition the words are completely blurred to me.
 
MOTARO!! Oh my god I so hope he'll be in the actual game and not just a statue please!
Goro, Kintaro and Motaro...This alone makes MK9 one of my favourite games already! Imagine Motaro in the new Unreal Engine, wow...
 
Various peeps around the interwebs have said that the image reads that it's of Shao Kahn's creature, named "Tedora."

Anyone else think that Tedora is the creature in Kahn's Coliseum???

I think he's right :( I just messed around with the images brightness and such and this is what I got:

Looks more lizard-like to me now :( Darn, I was really hoping for Motaro.

They probably did that on purpose so we would think it's Motaro. *Shakes fist at NRS*
 
It does look like Shao Khan's personal pet. Look at the drawing under the creature. It looks like a throne with two creatures to the left and right of it that resemble the one on top. Still, even so, Motaro might be in the game.

*sighs* As much as I hate to admit it, I think your right...it really does look like it has some lizard like features...damn, that picture alone got my hopes up so high for motaro, but now...
 
Motaro NEEDS to be in this game, it wont be complete without him, and just seeing him in new graphics would be very original and awsome IMO
