Why dont you post up some pics of what we have seen so far, maybe then we can spark up some conversation about it.

The Pit II is a sentimental favorite of mine, so I'd probably have to go for that, although the Dead Pool looks fantastic.

I don't think we've really seen enough of Scorpion's Lair to make any kind of judgment on it. Come to think of it, isn't his victory pose the only time we've seen it? That doesn't necessarily imply that it'll even make the game as a functioning arena.

All of the arenas look amazing, and even that is an understatement.
But I was never too into the classic desert.

Scorpion's Lair would have to be my favorite, because that is where we will witness Scorp getting his revenge on Sub-Zero, an event long overdue

The favorites of the ones I've seen so far are Shang Tsung's Throne Room (The way the low lighting is along with the rain makes it seem very dark and iconic in a way), The Deadpool (I'll probably put the timer on infinite/none and choose that stage just to see the background characters get dipped in and out of the acid), The Subway (Like the redesign they made), Kahn's Kolliseum (Perfect for the usual "Epic battle in front of thousands" atmosphere), The Desert (Like the change they gave it with a broken statue of Sindel in the background), and The Bell Tower (Like the Throne Room and the Kolliseum, it gives off a nice dark feeling).

The only one I don't like so far is The Living Forest. In my opinion, the trees' faces look more cartoonish and unintentionally goofy rather than scary and menacing.

The living trees look like monkeys lol. Definitely my least favorite, and I think my most favorite is the Temple/Church level. I love the low lighting and the detail.

theres a volcanic stage. thats cool does the lava flow or is it static like ice. i said there should be environment effects in 'mk community feature request' thread. check it out. it mentions there should be leaves blowing in living forest stage, lava flowing in netherrealm, puddles on floor. is there a rain stage because i really want puddles lol

Best: The Pit

Worst: Kratos's Stage (Never gonna see it, THANK GOD because I have a 360 )

The concept art of Scorpion's Lair is my favorite thing so far, especially since it looks like they kept all the original ideas from it and just expanded on it greatly.

Least favorite is The Deadpool. Not because of the concept or it's design, more because of the way the physics of the acid work. That part looks horrible, solid models colliding with crummy looking effects to break up the hard lines, or a few alpha layers (like the acid coming from the gargoyle head) to cover up the same flaws

Hum, that's hard. All of the arenas look awesome. I believe my favorite is Jade's Desert. The first picture I saw of it made my jaw drop, everything look amazing, the lighting, the statue, the sand physics.

Some other that I love are The Pit II, classic, Shang Tsung's Throne Room, loved the rain outside the windows, Scorpion's Lair, very improved, lots of details, The Subway, also lots of details, cool design, and The Temple/Church/Cathedral, amazing lighting, and cool animations of the person in the background (Shinnok? Priest? Who knows...).

I like all of the arenas, but I think my least favotire is the Bell Tower, mostly because it has nothing to make it stand out, nothing that you see and say "Wow, this is really cool".

bell tower should be destructible as i mentioned in my thread. also there should be cracks on floor, little holes in ground, broken windows/doors etc. the thread has been merged by a moderator its now called (nokidding thread of brilliant ideas) - she merged some of my lame ideas there too. what a complete *****!

I would like to see the next:
-The cave

My favorite is Scorpion's Lair. As for the worst I like all of them so I can't say.

Arena's like em, like to see unannounced Smoke's Portal w/guards, Coutyard, Armory, Shang Tsung's garden, Cave, Graveyard, Tower, Noob's Dorfen, Balcony, Goro's Lair, Kombat Tomb, Soul Chamber, Kratos arena, Wasteland.

Dislike Living Forest trees but it's alright

Favorite: The Pit

I think MK9 version looks too much like The Pit II from MKII. Not that it's bad, though I like the original better.

Least Favorite: The Temple

The lighting and dark feel to it is awesome but it looks too much like a church.

Can someone post pics or renders of the arenas so we can compare. For some reason I can't find images of some of these stages.

Side Note: Jades desert is not worth putting in the game IMO. But then again I haven't seen the redone model yet.

Yea jade's desert is kinda boring

but to be honest it always was boring

I never liked fighting there....

But everything else looks great

can't wait to see the portal
