During E3, word was passed down from <a href="http://www.netherrealm.com">NetherRealm Studios'</a> own <a href="http://twitter.com/NinjaBoy66/">Rigo Cortes</a> that comedian <b>George Lopez</b> <a href="http://twitter.com/NinjaBoy66/status/16411187745">stopped by to film a bit</a> for his talk show <a href="http://www.lopeztonight.com/">Lopez Tonight</a>. Rigo said Mortal Kombat would get a mention, but we didn't know what episode it would air.

"George Lopez was in the theater. MK will get a mention on his show." - <a href="http://twitter.com/NinjaBoy66/status/16411187745">Rigo Cortes on Twitter</a>

We just got word that George's segment on E3 will be airing during the Tuesday June 22nd 2010 episode that is also featuring actress <b>Helen Mirren</b> and comedian <b>Cedric the Entertainer</b>. Lopez Tonight airs at 10pm Central (11pm in every other timezone) on <a href="http://www.tbs.com">TBS</a>. Check your local listings for an exact time and channel in your area. We should have a clip and more details of the episode once it airs Tuesday night.

Thanks to <b>Jennifer</b> for the heads up on this news!

Update 11:00pm CST: It appears the like the E3/MK segment was bumped. We will let you know if we get word of it airing later in the week.

<b>Update 9:45pm CST</b>: Rigo Cortes posted to Twitter: "Looks like Mortal Kombat will be on Lopez Tonight at 10Pm CST this evening on TBS." We'll have a video clip up tomorrow if it does in-fact air this time!

<b>Final update:</b> We finally got the HD video of the segment edited and uploaded to YouTube. Enjoy!

i can't believe i'm sitting through this for something MK-related that most likely won't be anything new...

Well, that right there is why I try not to watch Lopez tonight. You wait for the part that interests you, and nothing happens. I'm pretty sure the show is being canned for Conan o'Brian too. If so, I'm glad because you don't wave a MK bone in front of the fans and expect to them give you a mercy.

Good call on not watching it. If you want to know what it was like, just push a spoon through one of your eye sockets. That's about how I felt.

On the bright side, you didn't have to watch Jimmy Fallon :D

Although I think it may be inevitable for him to invite Boon because of the buzz MK created this year at E3.

I'd rather watch Fallon easily, he's not terrible and has a proper demographic for gamers. He's also on late enough not to cause a stir with game footage. ;)

Good call on the lateness factor. I know some people watch him for the occasional gaming exclusive bit, but I just can't stomach his comedy and wit or lack thereof.

I just miss Coco :/

Personally, I really like the George Lopez show, his sitcom. But as a late night host...not really. I stayed up to watch him when I was still sorta jetlagged and he didn't even show me anything for it...
