Mortal Kombat Pinball Machine

With the New Pinball Machines coming out by Stern and the technology behind them, they can turn an Indiana Jones or Pirates of the Caribbean into a really fun and thought out Pinball game. I personally like there Family Guy Pinball, not only is there tons of Voice Overs but there is even a little mini Family Guy Pinball built inside the real one. And its functional, you get to use it when you hit the Steve Mode.

This got me thinking, if they can make this great of a themed Pinball Machine, they could make a really awesome and detailed Mortal Kombat Pinball Machine. Voice Overs could be Shao Khan saying things like. "It’s Official...You Suck!" and "You weak pathetic fool". And of course Scorpions "Get Over Here" and "Come Here". Could have several feature modes like "Fatality Mode" and "Animality Mode" and have things like Deathtraps, etc. Could have really kool fatality animations on the screen and such.

Not only would this pinball be alot of fun but it would also be a way for Mortal Kombat to find its way back into the Arcade Scene once again.

I was doing a little research and found out that Ed Boon used to work on Pinball Machines and so did his younger brother Mike Boon. Ed Boon worked on Pinball titles such as:

F-14 Tomcat
Space Station: Pinball Rendezvous
Banzai Run
Taxi
Black Knight 2000
Fun House

Mike Boon, Ed Boons younger brother is known for programming on pinball machines including the 1992 Classic "The Addams Family".

Mortal Kombat has had a few Influences in several Pinball Machines as well:

Shooting the Damsel Ramp in Midway's Medieval Madness would result in a random "Toasty" or "Finish Him"

Winning the Video Mode in Bally's Pinball Creatures from the Black Lagoon resulted in a Bloody Animation and "Fatality"

In Midway's World Cup Soccer Pinball, in a Bonus round, Raiden has a Cameo appearance.

Also there was a mini Plastic Mortal Kombat Pinball that was released but very hard to find. So the idea has been there. Here is a link to a picture of one.

And here is a link to one on youtube in action.

Also a NEW Pinball Machine featuring classic Midway Pinball Games has been released by Global.

Stern has also been releasing several new pinball machines lately, and plan on releasing several more in the future.

So even though pinballs aren't as big as they used to be, there is still Arcade places buying them and there is still a demand.

So, it’s not to far fetch that a possible Mortal Kombat Pinball Machine might get made one of these days. I, personally hope Midway would work out a deal with Stern to make one. Stern would make a really great one, with more features and ideas than anyone could ever think of. Could even have Ed Boon work with them on approving the features to keep it authentic. I really hope this happens some day. Im building a Mortal Kombat Themed Gameroom and every gameroom needs a Pinball Machine to be complete, and a NEW Mortal Kombat Pinball would look really great sitting in there next to my Dedicated Arcades.

Your thoughts?

I have found and bought a Mortal Kombat Pinball Machine. Its a mini like the one pictured above, but this one seems to maybe have a different playfield background. I will have pictures and video footage of it shortly.
