A few weeks ago some PR guy said people who played a similar class in D2 would hate the new class the same way Necromancer players feel betrayed by the Witch Doctor's inclusion. But I feel quite the opposite, I was a sorceress player before and the female Wizard keeps the same general look as my old flame and brings with it some new flames to boot! Disintegrate, Meteor Shower, good old Teleport.

But what's more exciting is the concept of new skill modifying runes! You place them in slots and they change the abilities of spells! For instance, a striking rune placed on the teleport skill will cause a shockwave at your destination! Fantastic news really from the Blizzcon floor!

Saw this a week ago when my bro got back from his holiday with my mother + half-bro's. I guess they can't use "Sorcer" and "Sorceress" because thos two are two different groups.

I'm expect for the last two classes an archer and either a healer or a knight.

It's good you saw it a week ago 'cus that's when I made this thread...sigh, guess nobody cared until you showed up. The Vizieri Mage was in Diablo 1 and the Sorceress was in Diablo 2. But this Wizard class is different. If you read the backstory on the D3 website it says she's a rogue that doesn't belong to any group, she (I'm playing as a chick so I'll call her what I want) took the knowledge she needed from her teachers, delved headlong into forbidden magic that warps reality, and goes off in seek of power.

I like her already.

Were you a sorc in D2 as well? If so what do you think of her new skill trees? They combined ice and lightning into the "storm" skill tree, fire and base magic are in the "arcane" skill tree, and I forget the name of the other one but it has all the timewarp stuff.

I played as the expansion (I brought the expension pack). I can talk for decades about it because I had about forty deuls against other Assasins, sorcs and Necro and I won every dam single one of them. I got so bored with PvP in Diablo 2 and being pestered to join teams because I was "good" that I stopped playing on-line.

It wasn't difficult to win, my bro also played the same build as I did (I invented it, he perfected it). I also refused to tell anyone what my build was. As I said, could talk for months about the Assasin... When it comes to the Sorc, I preferred the guy in Diablo 1. I had attempts to play her, but she ws dull and Diablo2's method of handling skill made it so the Sorc was limited. I can talk for only 5 seconds only the Sorc in comparison.
