Shang Tsung or Quan Chi: Who's the better Sorceror?

I am not so sure about that. Quan Chi is hell of a manipulator too. I personaly prefer Quan Chi design wise. The only design I liked for Tsung is in MK II. He don't have his sorcery robe from MK 1 but since he regained his youth, I don't see him performing a roundhouse kick wearing a robe.
Tsung has alot of potential but he is doomed to fail because he's boss. Not because he's less smart than Quan Chi.

You prove valid points,

but Shang can (and has) turned friends into enemies pretty easily with his morphing skills.

Quan Chi is a less "hands-on" master manipulator...
